The font menu in the toolbar should pop up over top of a panel but currently it pops up underneath them. Then I have to close the font menu, move the panel, and try again. This happens in the 1.9 beta as well.

By the way: This UI behavior issue seems to be related to two existing mac bug reports:

 

• MacBookPro Retina 15" |  macOS 10.14.6  | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1  
• iPad 10.Gen.  |  iOS 18.5.  |  Affinity V2.6
