Old Bruce
Uncheck the Always use White Background for Fonts in the Preferences in User Interface. and this is how it looks with that unchecked. Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Staff Sean P Posted February 3, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 3, 2021 Hi Kent, This is something you have reported to us previously (both the Font list and the New document dropdowns). This is something that is still with development to be fixed - I will get it bumped with them.

Not a setting I see in Windows - probably because you (Serif) are waiting for Microsoft to widen their own black theme support? Or worse? I have read the post and the screenshots. You're happy that the Font dropdown now has a dark background preference, but still unhappy that the dropdowns in the new document don't have a dark background despite the App and OS being in Dark Mode. The video you attached of someone with the dark backgrounds are using Windows so the bug doesn't occur in that OS. This specific part is still with development to be with
Kent Davis
@sean p Yes correct. and please to fix because of version 1.6 is perfect everything Dark Mode but version 1.8 mess up.
