evtonic3
It would be great if you implemented a layer color system for distinguishing between layers, vector layers, filter, live filters, adjustment layers and masks! When they are all Black and White it can get a little hard to follow! anon1, LilleG and A_B_C
JimGoshorn
Interesting idea but the user should be able to assign the colors of their choice A_B_C
evtonic3
Yes that would be better. Just some form of differentiation.
laneallen
You can assign layer colors right now by right clicking the layer and selecting properties, but it doesn't reflect the color within the layers tab when it's selected (as far as when the layer selection color, but it does show the color as a thin line under the layer). However, it will show the layer color you've chosen as the bounding/selection box within the design. I would love if they both corresponded to the layer color selection and within the document as well.
anon1
@laneallen Where can I choose the color of the Layer bar in the Layers panel? I can´t find it.. Thanks in advance!
A_B_C
Well, as laneallan said, right click on the entry in the layers panel and choose Properties … Doesn’t that work for you, MBd? :) EDIT Deleted attachments due to upload limits. anon1
actually I can´t find it... ...but it´s because it´s not there ;) it´s only possible in AD and I was in AP
A_B_C
Oh, please excuse, MBd, this is all confusing … I thought you were talking about Affinity Designer … :( Seems we need separate forums … ^_^
anon1
or we need the same feature in AP :) (btw - mostly I´m talking about AP :) ) A_B_C and LilleG
LilleG
I agree with MBd. Wherever possible, having the same feature...with the same activators!...in both apps would greatly reduce confusion, and frustration at times, for those of us who switch back and forth between the two. anon1, A_B_C and rui_mac
A_B_C
Yes, I agree with him as well … :) anon1
anon1
I really like the fading look of the color and I could see this as a useful feature which i would use to sort the layers after I finish a Photo to make it easier to find the right layers after some time when one may want to do some changes.... LoBu
Can someone tell me why actually many good and useful functions were not copied from AD from the outset in AP.
anon1
Could you be more specific? ;)
