A strange 'Font (0)' appeared, causes preflight warning and won't disappear

I have already posted the issue in the general forum on 'Publisher on Mac', although without being able to resolve the issue.

I am now reporting this as a bug. So here it is a link: Report about a strange 'Font (0)' that appeared out of nothing and cannot be deleted (or in any other way be resolved).

Please help, as this is my first major project with Publisher - and I do not know whether the persistent error message will affect printing.

Thanks!

Thank you Gabe for offering your help. I will try to upload the affected file if I get the permission (it is a book that will be published as an e-book as well as in print and there might be legal concerns). I will try to locate the critical position of the file more precisely first. Most probably I will then send just a part of it. Please note, that due to other tasks the sending might take some time (maybe later this day or maybe even tomorrow or one of the next days).

Okay, I found time much sooner than expected.  I just uploaded the file - or more precisely: the critical part of it. The problem seems to have its origin on the first pages of the file.

Thanks again for your help! 🙂

Thanks, Gabe. I could and have deleted the Font (0) now. Everything looks fine! Big thanks!

Do you have any idea, how this strange font could have appeared in the file? And how did you find its location? I tried to locate it with the search function but did no succeed. Are you using a more elaborate version (right part of your screen shot) or am I missing on some existing functionality?

Hi JanG,
To search for specific fonts in the Find and Replace dialog, click the cog icon on the right of the Find input field, select Format, select Font section (left column), switch the All fonts option/dropdown to Missing Fonts, select Font 0 (? 0) in the Fonts Family dropdown and click OK to close that dialog, then click the Find button in the Find and Search panel to locate it.

It appears this method was tried by the OP before but did not cause the expected result:

@Gabe, with what method did you detect the related glyph?

And does one of you have an idea what can cause an entry of a font named "0" within an .afpub?
