Screen redraw problem

Recommended Posts

Just finishing up a trifold dl leaflet and noticed a screen redraw problem when zooming in and out, which kind of makes it really hard to make text changes as all you can see when zoomed in is either a load of pixels or blurred text characters. see attached screen clip:

I have noticed that if I switch off the montage on the left in the grab, that the screen redraw seems to improve - is this a known issue?

I'm guessing that the workaround would be to duplicate the montage and rasterise and switch off the editable layer? which seems a load of faff - I'll give it a try on Monday

Do I need to rasterise every time I edit a montage????

If it was me, the first thing I would want to know is, if the problem was just on my computer or do other people get the same problem using my document?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

I get blurry page areas or objects occasionally, usually it doesn't last longer than a few seconds, at least after app relaunch it disappears.

> ... if the problem was just on my computer or do other people get the same problem using my document?

... and/or:
... is it related to the number of open documents and apps?
... does it still occur after app relaunch / mac reboot?
... does it occur in this specific document only?
... or with any .afpub on this computer?

I've had a few documents perform the same way which I now know is down to having an unflattened photo montage with live blends and wot not, in the last document I had this problem with, I just duplicated the group and flattened it then turned off the unflattened group and it solved the problem - no worries I'll just have to duplicate and flatten - just wondering if anyone has a better solution?
