Hi all,

I am using text frames for the first time. After looking up how to change the background colour it appears I should be able to find a Text Frame studio panel. This is not in the list of options in View > Studio and I can't find it anywhere else or any other way to change the background colour. I have tried resetting the studio and restarting the application.

Any advice? I am running latest designer 1.8.4 on OSX 10.15.6

Cheers,

nay.

The Text Frame studio is only in Publisher

In Designer, you can put a colored rectangle behind the text to create the same effect

If you don't have the Text Frame panel showing, you can open it by: "View", Studio", "Text Frame".

If you're in Publisher, you should find it in the View menu, under View > Studio:

And if you have it, then look in all the panels and see if it might be abbreviated as Frm.

If that doesn't work, try View > Studio > Reset Studio.

Finally, make sure you're in the Publisher Persona.

Thanks Walt and Paul.

The menu entry "Text Frame" appears to be ticked, but the Text Frame is nowhere.

Good news is that it appeared once I restarted Publisher. Not what I expected, but solved.

Thanks again!

Hello there,

I'm having the same problem – in Affinity photo.

My text box has ba ackground colour that I can't edit – the text frame panel is missing.

Any ideas?

I'm on 1.9.3 on the latest MacOS.

Thanks!

Rob
