  1. + 1 Was surprised this option not there. Always good to be able to carve away pieces of a drawing. Be great to have the option to do this with vectors instead pixels to make the most of AD. Keen on this in iPad version but should be cross platform.
  2. Thanks @Dan C, I think I should have slept on it and taken another look with fresh eyes before posting. I have just tried to recreate the issue and seems to be working on both platforms now. I think I may have chosen colours too saturated for the effect and then come up with some strange results when experimenting with settings. Thanks for the offer to help!
  3. Hi there, I have been attempting to use vector brush strokes in multiply layers as per the below tutorial. It works fine on desktop. However I can't recreate this effect on iPad. When I have an SVG layer set to multiply that contains multiple shapes created with my vector brush (all with a normal blend mode) they still seem to multiply when they overlap each other. So I can't use a vector brush to colour in a shape using multiple strokes on one layer and have the colour remain uniform as if it's one shape. I only want the multiply to then be applied to the layer underneath. Needing to combine the strokes after drawing them breaks the flow of working this way as you can't see what it will look like whilst drawing. Am I missing something that needs to be done differently on iPad or is this a bug? cheers, nay.
  4. Hi all, I am using text frames for the first time. After looking up how to change the background colour it appears I should be able to find a Text Frame studio panel. This is not in the list of options in View > Studio and I can't find it anywhere else or any other way to change the background colour. I have tried resetting the studio and restarting the application. Any advice? I am running latest designer 1.8.4 on OSX 10.15.6 Cheers, nay.
  5. + 1 for the ability to create and edit global colours on the iPad please. Functionality that matches the desktop version for this would be great. At the moment I always need to move illustrations to desktop just to finalise colours. This simple feature is currently the biggest thing I'd like to see added to AD on iPad.
  6. +1 for perspective grid tools - the only big thing I miss in AD at the moment
  7. Hi, seems this feature does still not exist in the last 1.8 release on iPad. Just wanted to give this thread a bump as would be super handy!
  8. Hi, I tried the beta in the hopes that there were no longer any vector brush artefacts at line start/end when using Apple pencil but the issue is still there. This renders the app unusable for us when sketching with vectors, which is why our studio is looking to switch to it. Below are links to the where the issue has been mentioned in older versions that have more detail. Hopefully this can be resolved soon, would love to be able to use the app for this! https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/62744-vector-brushpencil-ending-with-stroke/
