Mr. President Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 So it needs a new license for each OS, but if I have the same OS (Windows) on two devices, can I get Affinity that I already payed for on a second device with the same operating system? Quote

Yes, you can install on more than one device as long as they use the same OS. Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 There is one caveat for Windows, though: If you purchase directly from Serif the application will run on Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (with other conditions as documented). But if you purchase from the Microsoft Store, the application will run only on Windows 10. Mr. President Posted August 29, 2020 Author Posted August 29, 2020 Unfortunately my Affinity profile shows no indication that I've made the purchase before, does that mean I should simply bite the bullet and purchase it again for the second computer? it doesn't work any more on the first one. Both are Windows (first is 7, second is 10) Quote

Check your Photo Preferences (Edit > Preferences, or Ctrl+,) in the M scellaneous section. Near the top you should have an option to include your registered email address when reporting crashes. Is the email address correct? Is it the address that shows in your Affinity Store account? I was under the impression that the Microsoft Store version has always required Windows 10. The Affinity Store version will run on Windows 7, but only with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and the Platform Update installed; I think the Platform Update has only been a prerequisite for relatively recent builds of the Affinity apps, which would tie in with the “doesn’t work any more” observation. emmrecs01 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
