A bit of trivia about that for the science nerds: for the 2014 movie Interstellar a lot of research went into creating its black hole visual special effects in what would be the most scientifically accurate way. This resulted in the publication of the scholarly paper ‘Gravitational Lensing by Spinning Black Holes in Astrophysics, and in the Movie Interstellar’ -- quite possibly making it the first time 'Hollywood magic' has made a significant contribution to the understanding of black hole physics! 😲
