DJ! Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I've been working on a large project on Windows and have the current version of Affinity publisher. In the current document, the guide lines do not work. If I bring up a different document, the guide lines work just fine. Any ideas on this? Thank you! Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 If you look at the View menu, do you have View > Show Guides enabled? walt.farrell Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 OK, then can you clarify what you mean by the guides not working? Are you trying to set them on a Master Page or a document page? Are you dragging them out from the ruler, or setting them via the Guides Manager? Are you talking about ruler guides or column guides? (Sorry, should have thought of that one earlier; column guide visibility is a different setting: View > Show Column Guides.) carl123 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Guide lines are document specific not global, so if you set up guide lines in one document they wont show the same guide lines in another document Could that be what you are expecting to happen? DJ! Posted April 21, 2020 Author Posted April 21, 2020 Both guides have been enabled. I've been trying to drag them from the rulers. On one document it works, but not on the current one. This is on a document page. cje 1 Quote

There are 3 (Color Picker, View, Zoom) that cannot drag guides out from the ruler. carl123 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I think it's probably time for a screenshot or a movie and some popcorn walt.farrell 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
