whatisinaname Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I'm exceedingly disappointed in the lack of autosave for Affinity Publisher. I have found Affinity Publisher to not be the most stable software, which is forgivable. What is not forgivable is the lack of autosave. I have lost hours of work (cumulatively) due to Affinity Publisher crashing between manual saves. This feature needs to be implemented ASAP if this application is to be taken seriously by the community. Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 It has been implemented, just as it has for Photo and Designer. There was a bug in 1.8.2 that prevented it from working for any file that had previously been saved, but it was fixed in 1.8.3. whatisinaname Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 Many thanks for the reply. My current version is 1.8.2 and the issue may very well be the bug that you are describing. I will download version 1.8.3, which hopefully will fix the issue! Quote

Fixx Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 You should not have hours between manual saves. I prefer to save manually as I sometimes need easy way to revert if I do some experimentations. Quote

I felt so pleased with myself that I lost nothing but a few seconds of time to restart the app. Quote
