BUG: Overly long text in section name spins AFP

Title says it all. I erroneously marked the entire text of my document and (mindlessly) pasted it into the section name field. Result: Spinner. Kill thread.

You're welcome. The Section Panel needs to be overhauled, too, because (as I reported before), the page numbers on the far right of the left panel aren't completely visible if you have high page numbers (i.e. 387...).

Also, the whole idea of sections should be reworked, because (at least in books) sections are linked to content, esp. text styles. So at least in this context, sections should be created automatically based on text styles, and their names can also be auto-allocated based on said styles. Not only that, master pages, too. This would save so much work, because nothing is more annoying than having to reallocated master pages and section numbers, because of a change in text flow.

Not sure I could work with that but I am not saying the idea doesn't have merit. Could we maybe have a text style for Sections dialog box which would work for you? I am just thinking off the top of my head here.

Are you wanting Master Pages to be auto applied to sections?

More thinking on this is making my brain hurt. I am not against these ideas I am just thinking how it would affect my work, I think you have more sections in works than I do.

Hi Helmar,

Believe or not this idea came up already. I too would very much like to see something like that implemented in Publisher.

But again, there are so many other things I would like to see implemented first.
