Hi folks,

I’d signed up to find out why I couldn’t import my RAW files from photos on the iPad following the latest update, however before asking I’d managed to find the solution!

When my Nikon D7500 is set to Raw+JPG, for some reason it becomes an ‘unsupported file’ (see attached image)

if set to just RAW, the issue doesn’t occur and Affinity will happily import the RAW/NEF file

hopefully this will help anyone else having the problem :)

Hi,

I‘m able to import the Nikon RAW file, but can not edit it without crashing the app. Everytime I try to move some sliders eg brightness the app crashes.

Has anybody the same problem? Solution?

Thanks

Achim

Yes I have a Nikon D850 and when I import the RAW files and start adjusting the levels, the app crashes.

I have just download the latest release 1.8.2 as I have been informed it should help with app stability.

Looking for any help here 🙏🙏 I shoot with a Nikon d850 and I shoot in nothing but raw but, every photo in portrait orientation I upload from my camera reel (on my iPad) will upload mirrored, upside down and low resolution 120x160px. I have no issues with this until yesterday. I have tried multiple simple solutions but not sure what could be happening.

Hello guys,

try what @Zippy82 suggested first then and drag and drop the raw pic only (nef file) from iPad os photo app to affinity photo...this has worked for me. The drag and drop solution was suggested from user @p_mac. The combination of these two methods has fixed my issue. Using only one of them, however, did not.

I would like to add that the Nikon RAW edits are now much more stable than before, but now I have what is probably a new issue but worth asking if anyone has the same problem.

Try to import an HDR stack of only two pictures from my D850 RAW .NEF files.  It goes through the process (very slowly) and eventually dies by crashing either Affinty or even once, the iPad Pro!

So no HDR's have been successful, yet.  Should I convert these files to TIFF first?
