Affinity Photo Workbook: Chapter 3: Peak Country: Resources

Recommended Posts

Support,

I am having trouble finding the Resources needed to begin Chapter 3 of the Affinity Photo Workbook.  The link provided in the book (https://affin.co/mamtor) does not work.  Is there another area to find the resources? Or could you possibly email me a Zip file of the resources? Any and all help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Daniel

When I copy and paste the link you wrote into my URL bar and hit enter the resources immediately start to download.

Same for me.

I have a feeling that perhaps Daniel is using a browser such as Safari that doesn't make it immediately obvious when you download a file.

FWIW, I use Safari 13.0.5 on my Mac & it is very obvious when a download begins. There is an animation of the download 'flying' into my Downloads folder in the Dock, plus the "Show Downloads" button/indicator in Safari's toolbar changes from a downward facing indicator to a miniature progress bar.

In comparison to chrome however with the  downloads appearing along the bottom of your browser tab until closed I would say it is less obvious ;) regardless safari was just an example if I remember right browsers like Opera hardly do anything to show you you've downloaded something.

If for whatever reason Daniel did not notice that the download had occurred, checking the browser's designated downloads folder should show it being there.

Or just clicking the download button on Safari will show the most recent download file.

With Safari the 'download' button can be set to disappear after a successful download. Plus it is not on the toolbar if the option to show the toolbar is unchecked for fullscreen mode and you run it in fullscreen. I am unfamiliar with other browsers so don't know about their options.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

When I entered the URL in Safari, it took me to some kind of credit card company.

Make sure you do not choose any search options offered in a popup. Enter the URL exactly as it appears in your first post & then tap the Return key. Don't scroll down into the search results.
