Lookupflag IgnoreMarks not working

I'm not exactly sure this problem appeared with a new update, but I haven't encountered it before.

OpenType substitution is not working if the first character has a mark, that's despite having IgnoreMarks flag

Left: how it should be, works without accents; Right: substitution doesn't happen if accent is placed

It does work in Word however

But to make sure I checked another font I know worked correctly in the past: same problem

The ligature breaks if the first character is accented: that should not be happening

Hi @Evgenii,

Sorry for the delayed reply. We are still catching up with the Publisher tickets and we've had an influx of new customers since we went into lockdown.

So that we are able to investigate bugs thoroughly could you please follow this link and update this post with the followings: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/71-bug-reporting/

Any news on this? I just checked with a font of mine whether lookupflag ignoreMarks is working, but it seems there’s still no good news. 🙂

It doesn't look like the OP ever came back with the added information requested by Serif, so nothing happened.

I would create a new topic in the current Publisher on Windows Bugs forum, and possibly point to this one as background. But also provide the additional info needed for diagnosis.
