Staff Chris B Posted February 19, 2020 Staff Share Posted February 19, 2020 Hey DM1, The Help for the new beta features/changes will be added to the retail version of 1.8 and you won't see it in the beta. The New From Template option lets you open an untitled .aftemplate file once you have exported it from Document > Save As Template. This means you will be able to save custom documents. Paul Mudditt Posted February 20, 2020 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Ok imported an PSD Mockup with embedded smart object successfully, very nice. Successfully exported as a template then tested out new from template, everything so far so good. However when I went to use save a copy, the dialogue box still said “Export as Template” so I think just a minor text message correction as it did save the file as afphoto which is correct. EDIT: Closed everything down and it looks like the “Save a Copy” is now using the on screen message that “Export as Template” is using unless the plan is to remove “Save a Copy” option in final release perhaps?
