Affinity-Inspiration Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 I'd really like to see eBook availability this year... Does anyone know if it's coming? Or perhaps is there an update coming out any time soon? Robert Petras 1 Quote iPad Mini 6. 256GB. My GoTo design platform. M2 Mac Mini. 24GB. LG 4K Monitor. + Samsung Monitor 2. Windows 10 Toshiba. Dan C Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Hi HarryMcGovern We don't have any immediate plans for eBook/ePub export, but this has been highly requested on our forums and is certainly something we hope to add in a future version. In the meantime, I'll move this thread to the Feedback section of our forums! Quote

I think it is an absolute disgrace that Affinity Publisher does not already have an eBook option/export. I bought it especially for this purpose. And the answer “…in the future…” is equally a disgrace. Useless answer altogether. But in some ways, I am not surprised. The company Serif, now known as Affinity, has a history of letting its customers (the buyers of software) down really badly. Quote

Nowhere in the Publisher information does it say anything about an export to eBook feature. And it takes about a minute to search this forum and confirm it is not yet supported. Now your very first post is a rant ... at Affinity/Serif. You want to yell at somebody who screwed-up ... look in the mirror. MikeW and JET_Affinity 2 Quote

Without verifying that it had this capability? Not everyone who publishes does so electronically, in spite of the fact that it is becoming more common to do so. PDF is supported for those who need it, and there are tools to convert PDFs to various types of eBook formats. Quote

You could have read the product description on the website, which describes the output formats. You could have tried the 10-day free trial. If you purchased directly from Serif, within the last 14 days, you can still get your money back. Email affinityreturns@serif.com to initiate that process.
