PaulW61 Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 I purchased a Nikon Z6 last week and have been trying to edit some of the shots in Affinity 1.8.0.526. Unfortunately all of the raw files show up as being blank, whereas the JPGs load properly. Is this newbie incompetence? Am I missing a setting somewhere? The NEFs load properly in Capture One..... My PC has 16GB RAM, a fast Intel processor, lots of HD space and I'm running Windows 10 Pro

PaulW61 Posted January 16, 2020 Author Posted January 16, 2020 Interesting......yes, they load in 1.7.3.481
walt.farrell Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Thanks. So it's a regression in 1.8, which Serif will need to address. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. PaulW61 Posted January 16, 2020 Author Posted January 16, 2020 Should I report it as a bug, or will Serif pick it up from our posts?

Staff Gabe Posted January 17, 2020 Staff Posted January 17, 2020 Hi both, Thanks for spotting this. I logged it with our developers/. PaulAffinity and walt.farrell 1 1
PaulW61 Posted January 25, 2020 Author Posted January 25, 2020 I see that the latest beta provided support for a couple of Tamron lenses, but my RAW photos taken with the Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 G2 are still blank when imported into Photo 1.8.0.532. I will hopefully see a fix for that issue soon, as I've been taking lots of shots with the Nikon Z6/Tamron combo.
Staff MEB Posted February 18, 2020 Staff Posted February 18, 2020 Hi PaulW61, The original issue is now fixed in Affinity Photo Beta 1.8.0555 for Windows and Affinity Photo Beta 1.8.165 for Mac. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
