PaulAffinity Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 BETA, WIN 10. When using File>Open and selecting the search filter field on entering ANY criteria the list does not refresh to provide results. Live version works OK. thanks, Paul
walt.farrell Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 For me, using the search box gives a list of search results immediately below that box. To refresh the list in the window, put the search term in the "File name" box and press enter. That's standard Windows processing, as far as I know, and works the same in other applications I use. PaulAffinity Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 As stated Live is fine, Beta does not refresh...
PaulAffinity Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 OK more clarity. 1. IF I enter my *.jpg top right and lower right files has (All raster files..) it works 2. IF I enter my *.jpg top right and lower right has (All Documents..) it doesn't To clarify this is in BETA, in live the 2 cases as entered above BOTH work... ?
walt.farrell Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Thanks for the clarification. I can confirm that I see that same behavior. Mark Ingram Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 This is actually a bug in Windows that we have reported to Microsoft (but as yet, no resolution). The issue is that you can only have a maximum of 88 file filters before their search box breaks. We could work around it by splitting up the file filters into more categories, but we don't want to do that just yet. PaulAffinity 1

When this is a bug in Windows, why does it work with the latest live (= stable?) version?
