  1. Hi! I would like to ask how to prevent Affinity Photo from resetting it's toolbars each and every time I'm opening the software? It also resets it's location on my monitors to it's default, but that's what least concerns me. I'm running the latest version on Windows 10 and I'm also logged in to my account. Thanks!
  2. Sample image attached Since i use the "export > share > save image" option 90% of my time, it would be really nice to have the option to add this "tool" to the main toolbar. Ofc even better, if you could add specific tools and options to the toolbar, like the sample image i made. I thought i would be able to do that now since there are keyboard shortcuts available, but sadly there are obviously options missing that could improve my workflow a lot! either way, adding those custom tools, improving the shortcut options (adding custom shortcuts to custom tools/options), or add
  3. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the App Store. I've tried to change my MacBook's screen resolution. I've hidden and "un-hidden" the toolbar. I've enabled / disabled Integrated GPU. I can't get the top third of it to display. Or maybe it's just that this icons are shifted up. The only way I can get it to display properly is to switch to windowed mode (or whatever not-separated mode is called). Affinity Photo 1.9.0 MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2014 Big Sur 11.2.1 Intel Iris 1536 MB

  5. Yesterday, as I was in mid design, my toolbar and context bar disappeared in Design (Photo is fine). I believe I may have hit the shortcut to hide it (my fingers were flying), but I'm not 100% on that. Either way, I can't get it back. I have even tried to change the shortcut, uninstall and reinstall, reset to factory defaults...nothing has worked. I've also tried to go into Customize, hoping to kick start it, but it acts like the toolbar isn't even there. I can see it (on the bottom), but nothing can be dragged to it. Help! I cannot work without that bar. #setinmyways
  6. Photoshop/Adobe set a standard for all apps, apparently, by putting the vertical toolbar on the lefthand side of the app. This is wonderful--for left-handed users. Being right-handed, I moved and docked the toolbar to the "panels" window on the right side of the app many years ago meaning I no longer had to move the mouse cursor back and forth cross screen which is, IMHO, wasted motion. I do the same in Affinity Photo but the tools do not dock (become "sticky") to the panels window. This suffices BUT my request is that in a future release of Affinity products you make the toolbar, and similar
  7. I am just baffled by this problem. Previously, I could always see the 'Mode:' toolbar with various specific options depending on the tool chosen. In particular, I'm trying to use the selection brush tool, but there is no way for me to refine, change the brush size, etc. How do I make it show up again? I've scoured the 'View' options so many times I am dizzy... šŸ˜µ I'm working on a Mac.
  8. An accessibility improvement such as a hotkey for the "Protect Alpha" option would cause a great improvement in digital painting workflow as this option is used many times throughout the process of a single digital painting in most techniques. In Photoshop it is possible to assign a hotkey for this as far as I know. In AP the only way to do this is by clicking the button that hides in a dropdown menu (shown on the attached pic) when using Affinity on a laptop (which has smaller screen than desktop monitors - on a big desktop monitor the option is normally showing in the same toolbar).
  9. hi i am enjoy using affinity designer on ipad but i hope affinity designer for ipad have a tool like a shape builder tool, for easy to join selective shape ,,i need this tool.usefull, thanks
  10. Hello, the Panel/Toolbar that is usually on the right side of the screen is no longere there. I don't know if it disappeared or I accidentally closed it but it was very useful when trying to change levels, modify individual layers, etc. Could you please let me know how I can get this area back? Attached a screenshot of the area where this panel/toolbart is.
  11. Is there somewhere in the user preferences where I can configure the contextual tool bar to NOT revert back to its default settings whenever I close one document and open another? I was using the Clone tool and every time I opened a new document, it had defaulted back to "Current Layer" when I would prefer a different setting.
  12. Please make the toolbar moveable, dockable, repositionable, sticky--however you'd like to say it. I'm right-handed and it never made any sense to my why PS had their toolbar on the lefthand side of the workspace. This requires moving the mouse back and forth from the panel area to the toolbar. Since they made the toolbar dockable, I moved to to the right side of the screen, docking it to the left side of the panels. It makes a world of difference and eliminates one little workflow annoyance. Anyone wanting to keep the toolbar on the lefthand side could do so but I'd really like the optio
  13. I do know where to customize my toolbar, but seems limited as I was wondering if there was a way to add the Guides Manager to the toolbar. I use it a lot and would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
  14. Last night tt was fine. Today, I start Affinity Photo and the whole tools bar is grayed out. Don't know why. Don't see how to fix it.
  15. The marquis icon is not in the toolbar. I cannot figure out how to add; customize toolbar does not show it either. It would be helpful if you put this information in the instructions for each tool. Help!
  16. display error caused by multi screen setup if you switch to 2nd screen while project ist opened.
  17. The desktop version of Affinity Photo has a series of helpful Move tool modifiers available in the toolbar. Which of these are also available in the iPad version either as a button, a menu option, or as a multi-touch modifier? Enable Transform Origin (I'm particularly interested in this one) Hide Selection while Dragging Show Alignment Handles Transform Objects Separately Cycle Selection Box (attached screenshot is from Affinity Photo for Mac 1.7.2.151)
  18. Since upgrading to Catalina, i cannot type anything into the main toolbar font selection box. If I select some text in my document, then click in the font menu (which opens normally)ā€¦ ā€¦and type in for instance "Adobe Caslon" to quickly change the font of my text in the documentā€¦ ā€¦nothing happens in the font menu (it stays at "Arial"), but instead the text in my document is replaced with "Adobe Caslon"- Workaround is to scroll to the desired font in the font menu. Pic 1: Before clicking in the font menu box: Pic 2: after trying to select Adobe Caslon
  19. Hi, i am feeling stupid about this but the fact is I pressed some wrong key combination and some toolbar functions have disappeared. I spendt the last hour trying to bring them back by any mean but i am stuck here... Some of the missing functions are "refine" and "brush size" among others. can somebody please help ? thanks
  20. Is there something special you have to do to save your toolbar customization? I went through the process of setting up all the tools and toolbars the way I wanted, but the next time I opened Designer they were all back to the defaults. I didn't see any way to save my customized setup. Am I missing something?
  21. I just donĀ“t know how...but I lost my right side toolbar.... It is not displayed anymore and I donĀ“t know how to restore it.
  22. Can we have the Zoom functions ("Zoom In/Out", "Zoom to Fit" (especially important), "Zoom to Width", etc.) as optional features to add as buttons to the toolbar? Since all the functions have moved into a submenu ("View > Zoom") with the recent releases I notice I spend a lot of extra time to trigger those options just by having to navigate into that submenu. Personally I'm not a fan of this change (this was more efficient in the older releases). (Note: I'm very bad at learning and using all the strange keyboard shortcuts. I know this would go faster. But I need a qu
  23. Hi! I'm using Designer on a Mac and I'm not sure what I did, but the little descriptions that appear when you hover over tool icons are missing. Does anyone know what I need to do to get those descriptions back? Any help would be much appreciated ... thanks in advance!
  24. Could be interesting to have the possibility of adding a button to the upper toolbar that hides the interface (the same as pressing the <tab> key). Sure, when hiding the interface elements the ulper toolbar also dissapears.... so it can be necessary to think about another solution, like a floating button that appear when hiding the interface, or that the hide button isnā€™t on the upper bar and located on the window title bar, or anything imaginative else.... The reason is that the key command (<tab>) not always works... especially when text tools are selected or the like
  25. It would be faster to access the STUDIO list of palettes if STUDIO was on the menu, perhaps between "View" and "Window". No doubt it is a major programming shuffle but accessing STUDIO is done frequently and one click is faster than two. Giving STUDIO a CTRL+? or ALT/CMD+? shortcut would help, too. And/or, make an icon for STUDIO so we can put it on the Toolbar if not on the menu. TKS.
