Version 1.8.4 Whenever I attempt to move to a page in the document by entering a number, Designer crashes... every time.

Past 3 days encountering random crashes. Working on a simple node edit AD crashed, returning to the iPad’s Home Screen. Returning to the project it would randomly crash regardless of the attempted operation. Crash has been occurring after 3-8 mins of use. It consistently happens when attempting to return to my gallery from any project. I updated to iOS 14 2 days ago with the same results. App Store auto updates turned ‘on’. Help!

Hi I noticed when trying to exporting one tile of a pattern via psd for photoshop CC that it got stuck on generating Export and my iPad would accidentally start heating from the app overworking it even thou it’s the IPad Pro 2018. Last night when I tried before it did that for 30 minutes. It’s really buggy since the last update and crashes even when I try to move layers

Hi, I've run into a reproducable crash in the current app store version (1.8.4) of Publisher that's been quite a pain for me. I'm not able to install the current beta at the moment so I can't confirm if it crashes there as well, but I suspect it would, too. Basically, every time I create a document with a certain template I made, the app will crash if I: - creat artistic text - use the "Layer->Convert to Text Path" menu option on a curve If I don't use the template and just use a built-in preset (Print->A4, for example), the app does not crash and runs just fine, so I suspect there is something in the template configuration that is causing havoc somewhere. An important detail about my computer configuration: I have Japanese installed as my secondary system language (primary being “English (South Africa)”. The template in question does have some Japanese text in it, using "Hiragino Maru Gothic Pro" font, which comes pre-installed with macOS. I mention this as issues with Japanese text have been part of previous issues I've reported here. I was working in Pixel Persona. I had selected a part of the layer that I wanted to cut and paste elsewhere. The cut would happen, but about a second later the app would crash. It's somewhat reproducible. CrashReport.txt

Hey everyone! When moving objects from symbols and trying to detach them, some of them will not be detached. I have to duplicate those items to be able to detach them. Frequently, this and trying to resize the detached objects will crash Designer. I am using iPad mini 5, iOS 13.4.1, Designer 1.7.1. Best wishes, Shu

Hi, i’v been using affinity photo for a while and have been suffering with this issue. Very often.. I use it on iPad Pro, iOS 13.4 and now iOS 14, but immaterial of the iOS version , I often find myself encountering the issue of affinity photo freezing, and app crashes.. as it that was not enough often the toolbar top icons layers and colours, will stop responding.. I really hope you guys can resolve this issues and also bring some new update. It seems that then affinity team has forgotten about this app, hardly any updates of fixes..

It seems that dragging a symbol into a clone of itself is possible when it's a nested symbol (a symbol inside a symbol). This leads to a crash Drag the child symbol of one of the symbols to be the sibling (drop it underneath) of the parent's clone's child (the clone of itself in the other parent). Crash Bug 2.afdesign

Hi Team, Letting you know Affinity Designer crashes almost constantly when copying & pasting layers from one document to another. This is on iPadOS Public beta 6. I copy from 1 document to another, and change layers from there. Tried Paste Inside to no avail. I rebooted the iPad Pro this morning and no go.

After doing the new update, I can't seem to open a new document with out the program freezing and crashing. Whether hitting 'new doc' on the opening screen or through File/New Doc it just stops working and I can't click on anything else. No error code or anything either. I have to force it to close. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks

I have applied a BW adjustment to the vector layer. If you try to copy the layer (CMD+C) , Photo crashes immediately. With the BW adjustment turned off, it does not crash. A group containing 2 objects with erase blend mode, changing/hovering over some of the blend mode options for only one of them will cause designer to crash Select one of the circles in the group. Try to change the blend mode to "normal". It does work to change them both to something like "normal", and then change one of them back to erase. But changing one of them when both of them are erase will crash. Crash Bug.afdesign

Greetings, I'm a user of the whole affinity suite and I haven't come across any bug until now. I'm trying to open a TGA file that has a resolution of 9600 x 11035 px (72 DPI, 11 MB), but no matter which method I use to open it, A. Photo closes immediately. It seems to be related to the format, as in PNG it opens fine without any issues. But I really need to have them in TGA as that is the format I use to save my renders from Blender, to avoid gradient banding issues. Any assistance would be really appreciated. Thank you

After upgrading to Publisher 1.8.4, every time I try to open an .idml flie for the first time, the program just disappears. It seems to be working on idml files that I have opened previously in version 1.8.3. I am using system 10.13.6 and have sent several versions of the same crash report to Apple. I have also put this topic on the Windows forum as it seems to be a recurring issue on that platform.

Hi all, if I tried to open an idml-file, publisher disappears from the screen without any info about the issue. The same happend, if I tried to place an idml into a document. In this case Publisher still on the screen but froze.

For several builds now clicking on the HSL layer adjustment has been causing Photo to crash

I have now by using 1.8.2 several programm crashes by most simple things. No reports are made, I have to close AP with ctrl+alt+del other way not possible. mouse or pen are active but no tool or other button is responding.

Upgraded to Publisher 1.8.4 via US Apple App Store on Aug 3. Running MacOS 10.15.6 on 2018 iMac with 32 GB RAM. Open 2 page document and move page 2 to before page 1 causes crash. Mac crash report attached. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled on Aug 4 with no change. I have turned off all graphics accelerators, no change. I have disconnected Wacom tablet and used Apple Trackpad, no change. Open 110 page, 195 MB document created with v 1.8.3 over the past 3 or 4 weeks. I can scroll thru the pages but I cannot edit or even select text. Many styles are missing and I cannot select or edit styles. I can click on the arrow to expand hierarchical styles and the arrow changes from right pointing to down pointing or vice-versa but no sub-styles list does not change. The pages studio panel shows all blank pages. File close causes the app to hang forever with spinning rainbow wheel. Because I bought the app via the Apple app store I cannot go back to 1.8.3. Can I download the older version from the Serif site and install it without paying for it again? AP 2-pg doc crash.txt

When I copy (Ctrl+C) some objects Affinity Designer are closed (without error message). I did some tests and it seems that the issue is when I work with large resolution files (300 DPI for example). The strange thing is that Designer doesn't crash when copying huge images to the buffer, but it crash when copying large VECTOR objects. Windows 10, Affinity Designer 1.8.620, 24 Gb RAM. Affinity Photo 1.8.3 crashed twice while saving a quite big photo (1.6GB) on Windows 10 (Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134). This was very disconcerting in an otherwise quite positive experience. when using the perspective tool to transform a pixel art, it crashes. I am in the latest version. 2020-02-01 09-01-01.mov

Just want to add myself to the list of recent crashes. Using Affinity Photo 1.8.3.641, and reloading an image to continue working, as I go back through the history slider, the whole app crashes, no matter how many times I reload that same file I get the same problem. If I start from scratch and repeat the same actions I don't have a problem. Somewhere along the work process of the problem file I seem to have introduced a bug? I don't know not the expert here. I have the same issue when I start to load a new file, a few times the app will totally crash, no warning so no crash report. I'm not saying that this a problem with affinity's software, but it only seems to occur with this app. Personally I think it could just be a microsoft glitch which shuts but as I said I'm no expert. As there are so many user of Microsoft it could be a common denominator...all guesswork. So hoping you can help please? Thanks

Publisher 1.8.3.641 crashes multiple times (5-8) before it will stay open. Win10 on desktop. Then almost always crashes or freezes when opening files. "Open recent files" rarely opens anything and when I click on that I am virtually guaranteed I will have to kill the program in task manager. Eventually it settles down and I can work, but this is unacceptable. Is there an update?

Affinity Photo crashes as soon as i try to load a photo. I need some help sorting out why. I am running on latest release of Win10 Pro with 32GB memory on an i7 SSD program drive with 325GB free and Data drive with 1.13TB free. I run Lightroom, Photoshop, and Blackmagic Resolve with NO issues. So cant see why Affinity Photo should be having an issue. Hope someone helps...if im posting in wrong area please let me know...new to Affinity Software. I had high hopes for Affinity Photo
