  1. In the absence of a reliable means of time travel, when else would it be coming? :P
  2. This annoying "feature" has already been reported. It also affects the Typography panel. :(
  3. The thing is, the "grey" in the OP's zoomed-in screenshot isn't greyscale. My screen colour picker tells me that it's RGB [100, 95, 90] (or thereabouts, depending on exactly where I pick the colour from). Edit: Come to think of it, I'm not sure that the above observation is terribly relevant, since the printing house isn't going to be outputting to RGB: they just want something that rips to a single plate.
  4. Did someone forget to give him a 'Staff' badge?
  5. I wouldn't say it looks pretty at all. It just looks weird! :P The whole thing needs to be darker, but especially the dashed circle.
  6. I understand that you are frustrated, @manroe, but there is no need to "shout". Posting in capital letters just makes your message difficult to read. What browser(s) are you using, and what security software? If you go to the first post in this thread and click on the download link, does your browser reject it?
  7. I hear you. Apple's increase of the sterling prices (from £39.99 to £48.99) at the beginning of the year was similarly unfunny. According to XE.com a few minutes ago, 54.99 EUR = 47.67 GBP = 61.84 USD. Or looking at it another way, 49.99 USD = 44.47 EUR = 38.55 GBP.
  8. I'm sure there would be complaints from Mac users if they had to pay $50 whilst Windows users only had to pay $35, but in any case there must be some costs associated with the running of the Affinity Store.
  9. No need for apologies! It's very hard to find these things. (I just happened to post to that thread at the time, so I remembered it.)
  10. Assuming that "you guys" refers to Serif, there are two points worth noting: 1. The price rise was determined by Apple* 2. I am not a Serif employee *The price of the Windows versions of the Affinity apps is the same as the price of the Mac versions. Since the Mac versions are sold via the Mac App Store, the price is set according to Apple's pricing matrix; the Eurozone price of Tier 50 products in the MAS was increased to 54,99€ three weeks ago (2nd May, 2017) but at current exchange rates this is still slightly less than the £48.99 charged to UK customers.
  11. Yes, it's definitely a bug or a feature! :D
  12. The buttons are there, just above the filename. They're simply too small, and the Develop button (on the left) is grey instead of blue.
  13. I get the same result as you do in Affinity Photo. In a case like this, I think you should just use the Clone Tool instead of trying to persuade the inpainting fill to produce an acceptable result. I don't have Photoshop, but the content-aware fill in Photoshop Elements gives me the attached result. Maybe my settings are different, or maybe the function in PSE doesn't work exactly the same way as the "same" function in PS.
  14. The text is wrapping to another line because the font size is too large for the available space.
  15. It should be noted that (at least on Windows) if a font is reported as missing when you open an Affinity document, merely installing the font is not currently enough to make the text display correctly. You need to close the document and then reopen it.
  16. What we really need, of course, is a Blend Tool (ou Outil Dégradé en français): make a shape and duplicate it, move one copy so that you can blend between the two, move one end of the blend as close to the original as you want, and then recolour a copy of the top shape to make it lighter or darker.
  17. Taking this a step further, Cmd+J (or Ctrl+J on Windows) four times for a total of five copies of the original object, group and duplicate three more times for a total of twenty copies, and then group again and duplicate for as many copies as you need.
  18. I see that Tangut in your spreadsheet is shown as "Tangut" in Spanish, but Tangut Components is shown as "Tangu Componentes". I would expect the latter to be "Componentes Tangut". I'm curious to know where you found the later ones to add to the list. The LibreOffice document (from your earlier link) stops at Tangut Components.
  19. I think the LibreOffice one looks like it might be more reliable than the LibreCAD one. For example, on the LibreOffice page "IPA Extensions" is translated as "Ampliaciones del AFI" but on the LibreCAD page it's translated as "Extensiones IPA". I don't speak Spanish, but IPA is the abbreviation for "International Phonetic Alphabet", and I would expect the Spanish word for "phonetic" to begin with an F, not a P.
  20. Good find! That looks quite promising. :) Edit: I see that it's missing some of the supplementary blocks.
  21. From their FAQs page, Sip only supports El Capitan (10.11) and Sierra (10.12), so it's no use for anyone on 10.10 or earlier versions of OS X, or on any version of Windows.
  22. That looks like quite a good list, but since the entries are not arranged according to the numerical order of the block ranges there would be a lot of rearranging to do. For example, the first ten on the list look like this: value="1" Latín básico value="2" Caracteres complementarios del latín 1 value="3" Extensión del latín-A value="4" Extensión del latín-B value="80" Extensión del latín-C value="108" Extensión del latín-D value="53" Extensión del latín adicional value="117" Formas de presentación alfabética value="121" Variantes de formas pequeñas In the Blocks.txt file for Unicode 9.0, the list begins like this: 0000..007F; Basic Latin 0080..00FF; Latin-1 Supplement 0100..017F; Latin Extended-A 0180..024F; Latin Extended-B 0250..02AF; IPA Extensions 02B0..02FF; Spacing Modifier Letters 0300..036F; Combining Diacritical Marks 0370..03FF; Greek and Coptic 0400..04FF; Cyrillic 0500..052F; Cyrillic Supplement
  23. Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Achim. :) For 'Edit > Fill > Inpainting' to work correctly, you need to be working on a Pixel layer. If you see '(Image)' against the selected layer in the Layers panel, right-click it and choose 'Rasterize'; sometimes you may need to rasterize the layer even if it's already labelled as '(Pixel)' in the Layers panel.
