  2. I'm only an amateur photographer. I have been using AFPhoto and AFPublisher for the last 3 years... I love them. Coming from LR (stand alone version) I looked for a DAM for a while then I found Neofinder. I have been using Neofinder on Mac now for the last 2.5 years and I can say that it is the best tool that meets my needs. The cataloging is super fast. The search is great and fast. The metadata editor is quite good and Neofinder uses / supports the standard ".xmp" sidecar format. It handles a lot of file types so as a DAM, it is "software editor" independent. There is almost no limit on the number of catalogs it can handles and no limit on the size. I manage over 80,000 photos in over 35 catalogs without any problem. The support team is very responsive and there are regular updates. I"m very happy with it and I stopped looking for a DAM... 2 years ago. Hope this will be helpful to someone.
  3. To Grumpy Her and Lesley Bramley, You might want to look at Neofinder (https://www.cdfinder.de). I have been using it for 2 years now and I love it. Even though the software origine was for a file cataloger (back in 1998) the product evolved over the last 25 years as becoming a great alternative to all those expensive DAM software that most of them will not even deal with Affinity files format. Cataloging is super fast and it has many features to handle your thousands of photos. I manage over 50,000 pictures with it and still growing. It manages GPS, EXIF/ XMP / IPTC data. It has ratings, colour labels, keywords. It is a real database with very good search capabilities. Neofinder is running on MAC but my understanding is that there is a version for Windows. Take the time to read the V7.x release notes, it should give you a good idea of the over all features. You can try it for free too. If you like it, you can buy it for less than $40, one time cost, no subscription. Hope this will help Screen_Shot_2020-05-06_at_8_35.50_AM.pdf
  4. Hi Garry, I'm hitting the same problem with Blurb (for the book). I'm not at the cover page yet. When you say "Blurb's website suggests that the pages of the book need to be 24.447 cm x 20.955 cm. I have done this.", can you tell me the original document setup you used ? I have tried many different document setups and I always get Blurb message that my PDF has the wrong dimensions. Thanks in advance Alain
  5. I just downloaded XnViewMP. It can read Exif data from jpg, tiff and NEF(raw) file but can not read exif data from the afphoto file. See attached screen shot. Serif why don't you make available an API to read the exif data you have in afphoto document ? Why don't you publish your file format ? That would allow application like XnViewMP and NeoFinder to get read access to your affinity document and many people would benefit from it.... Be opened
  6. Thanks for the reply. Mat I ask which vendors have figured out to read Affinity Photo thumbnails ? Thanks
  7. Re-posting in the right forum... Can Serif provides a suitable API for reading EXIF data from a Affinity Photo document (.afphoto) ? Or has the Affinity Photo file format been documented somewhere so tools like NeoFinder can read these values of EXIF data ? Thanks PS. Neofinder Web site: https://www.cdfinder.de/en/info.html

  9. Is there any plan for AP Develop Persona to support GoPro RAW file format ? From Go Pro Web Site: "GoPro RAW photos are saved as .gpr files, which are based on the Adobe® .dng format." Thanks
  10. Is there any plan to offer an "ebook" version of it ? I would be ready to pay the same price to get its electronic version. Thanks
  11. Same here. AP being able to read and apply the xmp file to its RAW file would greatly ease the migration from Lightroom to AP. That would be really really really appreciated ! Thanks
  12. Is there any plan to make AP be able to read and apply LR generated sidecar files (".xmp") to its RAW file and save it in the .afphoto file ? That would ease a lot the migration from LR to AP. Thanks
  13. I'm fairly new to Affinity Photo (so glad being able to leave Adobe's subscription...) Is there a way to multi-select documents from the iPad AP home screen and transfer them to a WiFi drive ? The only way I found to have a copy of the ".afphoto" document is by using the "Save a copy" option, one document at a time... which is tedious when you come back from a trip and want to transfer all the work you have done on your iPad to your Mac. The Mac is the place where I keep all pictures (RAW, JPG and AP documents) as my main repository and for which I have real backups. I don't trust any cloud offering and I don't want to use them. Here is what I'm using: - iPad Pro (iOS 11) with Affinity Photo V1.6 - WD My Passport Wireless Pro - iMac 27" (mac OS Sierra - V10.12.6) with Affinity Photo (V1.6.6) While on a trip: - copy all my pictures (RAW) taken during the day to the iPad Photos - use AP to do editing of some pictures (usually my daily "Top 10") - copy all my pictures (RAW) taken during the day to the WD My Passport Wireless Pro (as backup) Once back home - load all RAWs from the WD My Passport Wireless Pro to the Mac - load all pictures in LightRoom (stand alone) (waiting for Affinity DAM software....) - would like to be able to batch transfer all ".afphoto" documents from iPad to Mac (subject to this post). BTW: Affinity team, your software is awesome !!! Congrats !
