    Crashing AP 1.6.6 / 1.6.7

Hi there, the problem seems to be solved in Version 1.7.0.98/99 beta But it takes quite a long time for the program to close after Command Q. Best regards Puck
  2. Hi, I am a really big fan of AP and have been working with the software for almost three years, but unfortunately AP 1.6.6 and AP 1.6.7 are crashing on a regularly basis after editing or when closing. iMac Mid 2010, Mac OS High Sierra, 8 GB RAM. No additional software loaded, no plug-ins or similar nonsense. I didn't had the problem with previous versions. There are also display errors (see pic). !! Please do not add any new features to the next update, but a stability update would be great. Thanks you. !!
  3. AP 1.6.7 -- Batch processing does not work correctly: Every time I write jpegs from .afphoto files, it creates an unwanted border. See screen shot. Mac OS High Sierra, iMac mid 2010, 8GB ram Any ideas? This dosen't happen in AP 1.5.2 Thank you Puck

    Find and Replace #133

Hello Chris, thanks for your feedback. That's what a beta test is for I'm really glad that I could help. Puck
  6. Hi there, In long documents with a lot of text: »Find and Replace« seems to be ok, but »Find and Replace ALL« takes too long | iMac mid 2010 Mac OS 10.13.4 Best regards Puck

    Find and Replace #133

Dear Walt, it is dummy text from the Internet. Whether UTF-8 encoded or not, Publisher should be able to change certain groups of letters in a reasonable amount of time. Any normal word processor (Mellel, TextEdit, Word, Pages etc.) can do this ten times faster. Of course, you can format the dummy text (text file) so that Publisher can do it faster. But this is a beta test, so you shouldn't make it too easy for the program, should you? Best regards Puck PS. Don't misunderstand: This is not a criticism of the program, it is a hint for improvement. I am sure that the final version of the program will work fine!

    Crashing AP 1.6.6 / 1.6.7

Hello friends, I have to go into it again here. In my estimation - and many tests - it seems to be indeed an incompatibility with Mac OS High Sierra, which causes Affinity Photo 1.6.7 at Cmd+Q to issue the error message "Program ended unexpectedly". It's the same with my old iMac and a relatively new MacBook Air. On my 10 year old Mac Pro (running Mac OS El Capitan) I can't see this behavior - everything runs very well without error messages on this computer. Hope that will help a little Best regards Puck
  10. Wow, thank's a lot for this information, Walt!! Appreciate it! Puck
  11. Is the program able to add pages automatically with text frames and let the text flow in if a very long text (e.g. for a novel) is imported? It would be very annoying if - let's say - you had to link 280 text frames manually. -- I may not have found this function either. Greetings puck PS. Great fan!

    Bleed Settings and display issue?

Same here. First of all I would like to say: Great job!!!! After a first test I miss (maybe I don't find it) »visible bleed« (grids for the bleed settings) and setting of the »crop marks«. Thanks - Puck

    Crashing AP 1.6.6 / 1.6.7

For a while I returned to version 1.5.2, but it also crashes. It didn't do that with "El Capitan" (with the same computer), so I'm assuming "High Sierra" is the bad guy here. Maybe this will help you. Best regards Puck

    Crashing AP 1.6.6 / 1.6.7

Hello, that happens to me sometimes (when exporting I mean). This takes btw much longer than usual, especially for large files with many layers. Nevertheless I love AP! Otherwise I wouldn't care and I wouldn't post here :)) Puck

Hi Chris, I'm not doing anything extraordinary! Normal stuff only (see screenshot of layers for the photo above) The photo, a texture layer, some live filters ... nothing special. Maybe this one s more helpful. The photo, several texture layers, live filters ...
