    Status: Beta Release
    Purpose: Fixes, improvements, new features.
    Requirements: TestFlight Acceptance.
    Mac App Store: Released

    Hi Guys,

The fifth (and hopefully last) beta of 1.6.3 has been deployed on TestFlight. The changes are detailed below.

You can download the App Store version at any time to stop using the beta - and download the TestFlight build at any time to go back to the beta.

As this build is going to the App Store soon, we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive "Thanks!" to everyone who has taken the time to be a part of this beta so far - we genuinely could not do this without you..

That said, we are not done :) 1.6.3 will go to the App Store, probably tomorrow - but we will be back in beta within a week. For the next 1.6.4 release, we are hoping to add Macros, non-destructive RAW support, improved Adjustment / Filter UI, improved compositing performance, full iOS11 support and much, much more. We hope you guys will stick around for that ride :)

Thanks once again for your help..

These requests are to improve workflow. I tend to export using the same specs (type, dimensions, quality, etc) and to the same location 80% of the time. It would be nice if I could create either:

A custom default of the export dialog and location, OR Be able to create multiple export presets (or scenes or scenarios or whatever you want to call them), OR Have the option to Export same as previous (using most recently used settings)
Also, in the Locations dialog, why does it always default to iCloud? And in manage locations, why can't I move one of the other locations above iCloud (which does not appear in the list at all)? I never use iCloud so it is sort of annoying to have to go through the extra layers every time to pick the cloud service that I do use.

Finally, I hope that Photo will take advantage of iOS 11's file system for Export (or Save As?).

    Thanks!

User-settable Defaults or even better, "Sticky Settings" is an option that has been requested and re-requested since the release of Affinity Designer.  It would be the single most desirable, most efficiency-improving, workflow-enhancing update that Affinity could make.  Perhaps...eventually...we will get it.

A *.afmacro file contains a single macro and is loaded via the Macros panel, but a *.afmacros file contains a collection of macros and is loaded via the Library panel. I don't think this has changed for the 1.6 beta.

Agreed - an urgent wish from my side!

At least the macro import function in order to use macros on the iPad which were created on a desktop would be VERY helpful.

Tschens got a reaction from Ursine1 in How to save jpeg on my iPad
    Hello,
I have a question to this topic:
Is there a CONVENIENT way to export several (or many) jpg to a pre-defined folder in order to avoid to "mix" them with the original RAW files?

    My recent procedure is:
    - Import the RAW files with the SD card adapter to the iPad image gallery.
    - move these files to an extra folder/album
    - edit the RAW files and export them
    - find the exportet jpg files between all the other similar looking RAQ files (cumbersome!!) and move them to another folder/album
    - erase RAW files in order to save memory

I would appreciate if there would be the option to safe the exportet jpg files into a pre-defined folder or album, but so far I did not find a way. Any good ideas or workarounds?
When saving the jpg on iCloud drive, they are named "unnamed.jpg" (or something like that) which is absolutely not helpful. Why not keeping the original file name and just change the file type from name.RAW to name.jpg?
    Jens

    Status: Customer Beta
    Purpose: New features
Requirements: A valid product key, issued when Windows Affinity Photo version 1.5 was purchased.

This is the fourth beta of a substantial change to our codebase and as much as we have tried to ensure the quality of the code, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is definitely worth noting that files created in Affinity 1.6 may not open in 1.5 so always make a copy of your important documents before opening them in 1.6 to ensure you do not accidentally overwrite them and are unable to open them in your 1.5 version.

We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback.

If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum.

What gives you that impression? We're constantly working on the software, and I've just finished another beta build that will be handed over to QA for testing, before being released to customers (hopefully tomorrow).

    What problems are you experiencing?

    Thanks,
