  1. Hi ChrisP, I also have an iPad 3 so I'll obviously aim to make it work with that too - but we might have to turn off some bits due to a complete lack of CPU-horsepower otherwise the user experience would not be good... Even when I first got the iPad 3 it was pretty clear that they'd not got enough 'under-the-hood' for the number of pixels on the screen - and they obviously knew this because the iPad 4 with much faster CPU was launched really quite soon afterwards, I think? I asked Adonit to send me a stylus just after Christmas so that I could implement support for it - and I'm still waiting for it! Might have to chase them up again! :S Cheers, Matt
  2. This works for me? Have you got the latest beta of Photo (build version 24443 from this week?) I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this! :)
  3. iPad Air runs almost the same as shown in my video - I was using an iPad Air 2, but AndyS was also developing it at the same time on his iPad Air - and there was not much in it in the real world :) It even ran well on my iPhone 5S :D
  4. That's a nice interpretation! :)
  5. Purpose: Improvements, Features, Fixes Status: Beta Requirements: Purchased Affinity Designer Mac App Store: Not submitted Download: https://s3.amazonaws...stomer Beta.dmg To use this beta, simply download the file from the link given above and double-click on the file to open the installer. Follow the instructions to install the beta version. The beta sits alongside the Mac App Store version and will not interfere with it. Improvements, Features, Fixes - Fix for Layer Effects dialog not working in anything other than Yosemite. - Live blend mode on the Layer Effects dialog. - Fix for Path Text positioning when used in conjunction with altered tracking or kerning. - Added per-object adjustable antialiasing ramp/coverage map. Available from Blend Options. - Fix for incorrect blend gamma on partially transparent destination pixels. - Improved performance for objects with blend gamma set to non-sRGB (anything other than 2.2). - Added more context menu items for the Layers panel. - Improved support for large cursors in Accessibility. - Exporting palletised PNG now automatically moved to 1, 2, 4 or 8 bits per pixel depending on number of colours generated in the palette - this allows for smaller PNGs in certain situations. - Added context toolbar for multi-selections of Shape objects. - PSD export improvements. - Fix for rendering artefacts seen with clip objects containing groups of objects which themselves contain objects with layer effects.
  6. Hi Malcolm, Could you try this in the new beta please? (we've just finished uploading it a moment ago!) It may well fix the problem shown in the last image? If you still get problems is there any chance you could send us this file to support@seriflabs.com ? It will be deleted again as soon as we've found the problem. Thanks! :) Matt
  7. Hi Gary, I think the problem is because we are executing some code at exactly the wrong moment as your machine decides to switch between the integrated and discrete GPUs. Could you try setting the AD Preferences option 'Use only integrated GPU' and then tell me if it still goes wrong? It will help me to debug the problem. Many thanks, Matt
  8. That is just wonderful! Bravo! :D Is this vectors with brushwork or is it all pixels? It looks really great!!!!
  9. Yeah... this is a dangerous topic to post prior to lunch time - thanks, Paolo! ;)
  10. That, sir, is a very pleasing, exquisitely designed logo. I'd be a very happy customer... and if you happen to have any more of that chorizo knocking around you can send it this way, haha! ;)
  11. Okay, just finished this and added it - it'll be in the next beta... which might be in a few hours! :)
  12. Hi David, Looking at the two images, I'm guessing that you're resizing on the document an existing vector object that you've made? If you're doing this, make sure that you have checked 'Scale with object' on the Stroke panel with your object selected, otherwise the lines will not scale to be thinner when you resize your object and this means you will get the effect that you're seeing... :) Thanks, Matt
  13. Hi Pete, I think we'd have to make this an option as you said - we used to write simply width and height as pixel dimensions and no viewBox, but it meant that people couldn't use their SVGs easily as scalable elements on their pages, so we defaulted to the current solution. I'll look at adding the option soon :) Thanks for the suggestion, Matt
  14. You mean... like this... ;) (only started working on it this morning - still looks a bit rough, but works! And, yes, the ramp I've chosen here is ridiculous and applied to every object - that's why it looks particularly crazy!)
  15. Really well done and such superb colours - very impressive! :) The only teeny-tiny bit that sits slightly strangely for me is the angle of the top line visible on the right shoe - there's just something that draws my attention to it because it seems subtly wrong. Maybe it needs to be ever so slightly moved down to make it appear the shoe is marginally not as tall? I'm not sure - see if anyone else spots it. Either way, it's an awesome achievement! :)
  16. I'm guessing your machine is set to Spanish as its default language? If so and you don't want to use the program in Spanish, just go to the application's Preferences dialog and choose 'English' as your language and restart :)
  17. Hi Jakerlund, Yes, I can certainly add it to the vector brush tool too - it won't be too difficult, just need a few minutes to get around to it. Hang in there and I'll try my best! :) Thanks, Matt
  18. Hi Vagrant, I just used your first image (top left - the first one I tried) and made a new Intensity Brush from it - it looks quite good :) I've attached it here - you can just download the file and click on it to install it... Vagrant.afbrushes.zip This is how it looks when used... Is this not what you expected? (i.e. I could easily be missing the point - so please tell me if I am!) Thanks, Matt
  19. Hi vagrant, Could you possibly attach the texture you're trying to use as a nozzle so we can try it for ourselves to see the result? Thanks, Matt
  20. Thanks for that Alex - it was a change we made for the new version of Xcode and it apparently had a few... errr... side-effects... :( We've fixed this now and will update the beta asap :) Thanks again! Matt
  21. Aha! *Maybe* there is a problem something along the lines of - start with a shape at one size, put the line on, resize to the size you wanted, then output and it's different versus just making the shape at the size you wanted... I'll look into it... :)
  22. Hi lrenhrda, I took a screenshot from your video - it looks like Sketch has found an SVG file on the clipboard and is attempting to parse it... I don't know why it doesn't succeed though? What if you tried drawing something extremely basic in Designer, like just a red rectangle and copy->paste into Sketch - does that succeed? Thanks, Matt
