  1. yes of course, no alternatives here and my guess is related only to the professional work. I have a lot of fun on ipad now because I can play with my images everywhere. I made some minor works this week only with AP IOS, more time but new lifestyle :)
  2. I mean professional work, paid also based on the time you spend. You can't compare between the same job done through shortcuts on a keyboard and fingers on a touch screen, not the same thing. We talk about 3/6 times more than my regular workfloor on OSX and I'm quite fast :) Ipad (12) is the best if you need to work lighter or to check shots with the customer, or to show to the customer ( or the model) in real time your work trough astropad during the shooting (with iPad close to the model, connected via WIFI on a mac, and the laptop connected to the camera through canon software). It is a great tool for professionals, not only for AP.
  3. just a simple reply....shortcuts I'm a photographer and I work with shortcuts only. Work with fingers or the applepencil is quite slow and after 3 or 4 hours of work you are very tired. The only thing where I'm faster is the manual cutting, a real pleasure! ( I do the same also through ASTROPAD, for using apple pencil on the mac version of AP and Photoshop) anyway, I love AP iOS and I consider it my backup on the go in my work, very powerful. Affinity does what adobe ( with tons of USD millions ) are unable to offer.
  4. ohh man, thanks! I can't wait to compare the workflow between desktop and ios versions. After a week of testing in AP IOS I realized that I need about 3/6 times the time for the same job on the mac, depends on the work. I hope to reduce this gap in AD because I would like to use both software for my work and not only for fun.
  5. +1 this is the misunderstanding of many. AP ios is an advanced (huge) image editor with a plus to import RAW, that's all. Each brand comes with a different RAW and the "issue" depends 90% of cases by the manufactured. Several users don't understand the difference between DAM software and AP. The same difference between Lightroom and Photoshop.
  6. Hi, In my work I use a color checker ( grey18%) and I need to set the white balance through the color picker ( by selecting the color checker in the first image of the shooting). thanks!
  7. I think this is not an issue, in my cases it happened only with heavy projects, I mean 21mil pixel with several layers and masks. This is an ipad with 4gbram, the most powerfull ( first gen.) But we can not expect from software that works like a desktop with 16gb RAM. Many people work without this awareness; I would have limited compatibility only to ipad pro; And in any case 2GB of ram (all ipads except 12) are too few to work on heavy projects.
  8. AP is just an image editor with a further option to import a developed RAW. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/42040-affinity-ipad-version-is-not-worth-the-money/?p=210361 I think Lightroom mobile is still the best software for you. Probably the best improvement in AP IOS now is to store the RAW preferences to paste the setting to the next RAW in order to apply the same development.
  9. Probably your RAW is not the most used. Probably there are many other equally important requests. This is a brand new software. Have you tried to develop other RAWs? Of other cameras? If you need to work faster on the go your can use AP in a MacBook Air or ( better) in a survace.
  10. this is a good example https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/41813-raw/ IOS forces users to waste a lot of time, a micro SD (or a USB connection) solves all the problems. A professional could not work in a simple way, it's also a gain problem. BTW: the incoming IOS11 introduces files folders :) Yes I agree, lightroom IOS is pretty goob but is quite limited on ios. You should compare work experience between IOS and WIN surface. I'm a mac user, in my opinion a macbook Air is better than an ipad pro 12 for the RAW editing on the go. I have the surface pro, the ipad pro12 and some OS machines, the most versatle is the surface, the most usable is the macbook air and the most light is ipad pro (and I love it with AP), depend on your needs.
  11. Would be great! probably would serve 3 fingers but there is the risk of overlapping with IOS gestures
  12. AD would not spread as AP but it is equally important. It's been developing for a long time, we hope it's true. AD IOS will bring many other professionals to this brand.
  13. this is a request for Apple and not fo Affinity team. :) Apple "don't" allow you to manager your contents without specific tools. this is the most important difference between Apple and the rest of the tech world
  14. it would be nice but probably not now. this app is born for Apple and the success depends also from Apple Store exposure, this is a business and the applepencil 2 is coming :) BTW: I can't draw without the tilt feature, the apple pencil is pretty good.
  15. I think they used a safety range for processor power and memory and not the classic critical requirements. Managing a multi layer project is not for all devices. this app is born for ipad pro 9/12 ( better with 4gb ram on 12") this is a fact.
  16. it is true, I tried with my ipads Perfect on iPad pro but incompatible with iPad air (1), installed but not available, very strange behavior, considering that some users can buy it without checking. It's a nasty surprise and you only find out after spending money and installed After a long waiting this is a bad unboxing experience :) from appstore
  17. bought and tried on ipad pro + pencil, powerfull tool on the go!!! for professionals is more than a spare wheel. pretty nice. But the real jump in the WORK zone is to sync the desktop file ( or a single level) with the ipad in order to use some tools with the applepencil or with the finger. Now you have to buy ASTROPAD ( different behavior but same result). I'm quite sure that the virtual wacom tablet is in the dream list :)
  18. well said we are still far from AI in professional jobs but AD works with a different approch and I love it. Maybe, we need to wait a couple of years but I'm quite sure that AD will replace AI also in the professional sphere. The current version works well and I'm also able to share files ( in PDF editable) with some other profesisonals with AI ( with some liumitaitons ) but it works :) again, have a look at the http://www.hypedocks.com
  19. Unfortunately there are few professionals in the forum. A professional section of the forum would be useful. If you work on app mockups then you should know HYPE PRO, AD does not allow you to animate mockups, while Hype
  20. Cute!, but there's too much noise, it does not look vintage
  21. with AD you can build mock-up only, you can't get the html/CSS/JS codes from this but only a preview of the site in each layout ( desktop, ipad, iphone and so on).
  22. this post is 26 january, 10 pages of comments, when is the 1.6? within 2017?
  23. +1 I would want AD contents only but is the same thing :)
  24. it would be useful for the rest of the community. thanks a lot I've found also all small examples posted in the forum in dribbler but I'm unable to find your portfolio/site, the URL of your site?
