  1. Live filters, Smart Objects, oooh My :) I missed where this was mentioned. I would love to see what you composite. I loved the work you did with the violin. I wish I could wrap my brain around Blender. It so powerful but the interface puts me off. It would be nice if someone created a 3d app that worked with the ease and speed of affinity.
  2. Thanks, Ronny! All great input. I am on a job right now, but I can't wait til I get home so apply a bit of your input to this image. this image is getting better from all of your great input guys thanks for looking at it. You can stare at something long enough that you start to miss things. Thank you both for the extra eyes on this. Ohh, and splitting hairs are a good thing."The Devils In The Details"
  3. Thanks, man! You are spot on with all your critique and comments! I need to post an update. Since this post, I had tweaked the lighting also the tusks. I have the right tusk curving in front of her arm and also added a bit of shadow to support where her arm is in relation to the tusk. Love how this tells a story in one frame all done with complete different pictures that were all shot at different times and lighting conditions. I posted another composite done in AP. I would love to hear what you think of that story and whatever critique or thoughts you may have on that one. It's a bit bizarre but fun.
  4. Thank you TGB! ;) You have exposed the secret too my work! If you ain't having fun why bother. :)

  7. Hello, Manuari! Welcome to the community. Thanks.
  8. So, Diving into some Affinity Photo. I had a Couple of hiccups, but I am enjoying Affinity Photo so far. Still working this one out, but I am at a stopping point, so I figure I would share what I have so far. Stock Photograph model credit to Fae : http://faestock.deviantart.com/

  11. If you are a looking for a way to create a template that you can use over and over again then this is the tutorial you should check out. Click to view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQy6VCQZnqc
  12. esc defaults to the move tool then I just move it around then double click or tap on my tablet to text edit again. doesn't really bother me I am just so use to doing that from the beginning of time. I don't find it to be cumbersome, but that doesn't mean there isn't a better method.
  13. Cgko, Thank you for taking time to explain. I some people miss the fact that you can do the majority of things needed without having to jump between two application. In the Adobe would need to jump between illustrator and Photoshop to do this style of illustration, but in affinity Designer you no longer have to switch between the two applications. I think you offer a good reason to have to work between Affinity Designer and Photoshop. Anyway, great job and thanks for sharing.
  14. Hello Cgko, Fabulous first post! Do you mind telling us what part did you use photoshop for?
  15. Nice choice of colors feels war. Feel like it took place during that golden hour on a beautiful breezy afternoon.
  16. I agree with, this but just in case you did not know you can click on the drop down and hit the letter that starts with the letter of the font you are looking for. You can also do the same in the character panel. Search input field would be nice though :)
  17. I would love to take the credit on that fine tutorial, but unfortunately that not my work. That is the work of the great Cartoon Mike. ;)
  18. Ugh...I really hate this apple approval layer of things. I get its purpose, but it really is a pain in the arse. I personally avoid using the Beta. Betas are subject to change. It's no secret I create training and tutorials I can't do so with the Beta. It just cause confusion for people who are already confused about the MAS and the Beta and what can and cannot be done or exchanged between the two file formats. Apple approval is really the wrench in the wheel of rapid delivery.
