I like to test them against backgrounds, layers, and different sized objects to see how they're affected. The versatility also allows for experimentation as I can switch between styles, apply them to different layers, and shift all of my objects around without affecting the styles, and the app keeps up whilst I'm doing it. They're also a lot of fun.

Thanks. I can't seem to quite create what i'd like from them. For example, i'd like to create a yin yang shape by combining the areas marked X

Is there a tool for combining shapes together to create totally new shapes?

My first image that came from playing around with the pen and pencil tools. Very useful and extremely accurate, although as always takes a bit of practice to get exactly what you want out of them (such as when creating the clouds and hills)

When creating a new document, will there be more page presets for film i.e. NTSC DV or PAL DV Widescreen? For film (often with a transparent background) it would be usful to be able to change the colour of the transparency grid with darker options available Rather than just a grid, is it possible to have the safe area guide?
