  1. Where do I find Designer Help ? I'm talking about Affinity Photo
  2. Could anyone enlight us on what does exactly the Edit / Defaults options ? Why tools colors are reset at each startup to orange/grey for example ? How to set move tool Show Rotation Center and Hide while moving always checked ? Tons of settings are to reclick, reset each time we open AP, sometimes even between documents. So what does, and does not, these Edit / Defaults options ?
  3. Same here, the help bug was a known issue, and didn't get any crash for weeks.
  4. Indeed, this is one of the problem actually blocking us to use AP.
  5. Ok, we can show Rotation Center, move it, then rotate according to this. We really need to be able to do the same with scaling. We very often move a layer so one area of the layer is where we need it, then scale it with this area being where we put it. So in Ps, we move its center then Alt+scale it. Please, this is a must have small feature enhancement ! B)
  6. You can set whatever shortcuts you want, or try Alt+LMB+RMB and mouse your mouse. Also works with wacom pen when top button is set to right clic. A RMB context brush options sure would be great, but this works nice
  7. Don't see what you mean about can't export your photo from lightroom. The main drawback for such workflow may be the extremely poor printing options in AP actually. Apart that, if you don't absolutely need lightroom cataloging, you can go for AP alone. Just check your body raw files are fully supported. And AP can only get better in coming months/years, seeing where it is after so little time. If development continue to listen and enhance their software, we have a killer in hands ;-)
  8. Just a note, I always set my wacom pencil top button as right click. Then, I can use ALT+pencil top button and press on the document to adjust size/hardness ! Works a dream
  9. Agree... Anyway, something I really missing is Output Levels like Ps Levels. Actually, if you have some black values, you have no way to make them brighter with AP levels. Even gamma won't touch such values.

  11. You could synchronise entire settings folder in appdata/Roaming, would synch also brushes and such
  12. Would rocks to have in File menu: Save all (saving all opened documents) Close all (closing all opened documents) Would avoid finishing a sessions by closing the app, hitting yes for each opened doc, then reopen AP.
  13. I am with azerty (french windows/english AP), I remaped shortcuts to , and ; but mainly use Alt+RMB+LMB which works really great.
  14. Any news about this ? For Desktop Windows user with Wacom tablets?
  15. This is something logical when using a new file format. All viewer like xnview and such will have to support this new file format. Managing such files, and for compatibility wise at least at the beginning of adoption, is also why psd file support must be top notch.
  16. You can take the top bar (tab) of the image and drag it under to show it as floating window. A preference parameter to open docs as floating would really be a plus ...
  17. So we are talking about totally different things. automation and API have nothing comparable. Automation basically simulate click in the UI, really good for very basic stuff. A python API would allow you to access core features, doing a lot more, creating plugins to do stuff impossible, etc. We develop lot of pipeline tools, integration tools and plugins with python in such apps, it has absolutely nothing to do with automation. You could for example parse any file format to import stuff Affinity never though about, write your own format to integrate with other tools, etc. Or enter some metadatas in documents, connect them with your team database for artistic direction tools, etc. No limit !
  18. You really want batch scripting under windows ?? Mode sarcasm off :-) Python is widely used on both platform ...
  19. Yes we really need more options in context bar with move tool. Disable auto select, select group, select layer, contextual menu containing all layers under cursor for fast/reliable selection
  20. Well, I would even not compare javascript and Python ... Python is so much more powerful, easy to learn, efficient, more readable, and a standard for such softwares. Adobe is using Javascript, this should be a sign lol !
  21. Just noticed that with big document, some sliders range are far too short to get the right value (drop shadow FX radius is one for example). Such very fast numerical value adjusting would be awesome then
