I think something went wrong. When I right click a file and select OPEN WITH AFFINITY DESIGNER BETA (1.3.5.18) it opens in the stable version instead of the beta. So now I need to open the files directly from the menu in the beta instead... Anyone else experiencing this? In case you need any additional details, ask for them, I'll keep checking this thread :)

Affinity Designer Customer Beta (1.3.5.5)

Ok so I'm using Roboto as the font. My word is "Test" then in the Character tab i have only "Small Caps" selected and the result is "TEST" and when I uncheck "Small Caps" and select "All Caps" the result is "TEST" just bigger.. And if I open the file in the stable release of affinity i get "TEST" properly. Doesn't make sense does it? -

I think that small caps option for text is not working as intended in the latest beta. All the letter are now small, instead of the first letter always being larger and then followed by small caps letters.. Is this a bug or intended? And is there a workaround to make it work like before? -
No I don't I had to recreate it. And to make it a 10 page document I used a website that marges PDFs but there is absolutely 0 compression on the site so they are the same size Ive put them in. God this is really starting to annoy me :/ One thing I noticed is that one I switch the color scheme from CMYK to RGB the file comes out even 2MB less. Isnt that weird?

Here's the settings of my preset Here's how the page looks like Here's the file if you want to test it http://puu.sh/kvGrk/db2abd0616.afdesign First of all this takes about 4 minutes to render out just this one page. And the rendered file has 4.6MB some time ago I managed to export the entire brochure (10 pages) with only 8MB of size and the quality was fine. I can't seem to figure out what am I missing this time around. Any ideas? Obviously I need the quality to be OK enough to be viewed at 100% zoom..

Hello, I just noticed that at the very top of the window next to the file name is a number with the percentage sign next to it and its in round brackets. I was just wondering if anyone could explain to me what does it represent. Here's what an image of what I'm talking about :) Looking forward to your reply.
