A couple of short answers, Yes you missed something and Yes it doesn't work. The Master pages Text Frames don't work the way we would expect. The work around is to apply a Master Page (without any 'Linked' text frames) and then on a regular page make a Text Frame and place your text in it and Shift click on the red text overflow triangle on the lower right. This will make new pages with Text Frames the same size and shape and location with the overflow text. Hopefully the Master Page Text Frame problem will be fixed/implemented soon.

Jemez, I just made a two page spread document and then split it into single pages and there is some stuff happening. Left and Right are kind of ... relative . This needs more investigation but right now I just had a crash after closing and quitting the application so I am going to call it a day. But yeah, all is not right.

Spread origin, i.e.on a two page spread it is from the top left of the left page even for the right page. I would like it to be the ruler origin like the Transform studio.

Let's keep an eye out for the recurrence, could still be a bug and hey maybe all kinds of cool stuff is hiding far off the edges. [wink emoticon]

Me and PDFs don't get along with the whole import thing. I love them for being a Portable Document Format and that is about it.

Okay, we are on the same page again. If you look at the earlier screenshot you'll see that there are mistakes in the indicators and they do go away. I would like to have them but I find that hitting command + 2 zooms in enough and I can scroll from side to side and up and down. The page will be large enough that the guides are on the page and under the rulers. But yeah, still needs work. Check your screen resolution and maybe change it before investing in binoculars because they need both hands to hold up slowing you down and your wrists will get tired.

I would do a "Save as..." delete all the pages (Not the Masters because those are what we want preserved) and import the PDF into that.

I can do what you say with a new document. Are you trying to do this retroactively to existing two page spread documents.

We can change the size of page "Spreads" right now, not add to only one page's width unless it is a single page spread which is ... I will say; 'frustrated'.

My rulers will show Picas if the document is set up in Picas or do you mean you want to change the units on the rulers only and leave the rest of the interface in whichever Inches/cm/mm/pixels it was setup in?

Weirdness. If I change the document setup to Picas and then go to the Master Page setup the size is shown in picas but will revert to inches because Picas are not in the drop down menu. Probably an oversight when building this version. I can change the size by specifying Picas or any other acceptable units.

And it is Backasswards, the Trashcan is in the right place but the Layer icon is moved out of place to the right. I am on 139 and I too don't recall if it was like your screen shot previously. Try restarting the program with the Control key held down and clear the settings, or maybe just restart it ordinarily.

Choose a page and then click the Document Setup... Change Start on to whatever you want.

I think this is the source of your problem It is in the edit Paragraph Styles, and maybe somewhere else too, the documentation isn't helpful to me on this. Sorry that I have nothing for your second format issue.

I am just guessing here; could you not use the Assets Studio for the "... frames 10x6 cm with 0,8 cm margins ... with 0,5 points border."?

Wow! There is something wrong here. This is what I have ============================== Are you maybe only seeing the Text Ruler? Regardless I think the Guides still need some work.

If I make a new document and place some guides on the single page and then add new pages I have the guides from the original single page repeated on the new pages. If I use the duplicate page button this is expected behaviour. Am I missing some thing some checked box somewhere? I want the Guides from the Master Pages to carry over of course but not this behaviour.

I don't quite understand what you mean so I'll just go ahead and guess (probably wrongly). Try with this ( and of course unlock the guides, I just noticed I have them locked here in this picture)

Tick both boxes and try again, this is from the open screen . I am not sure how it works with placing.

I get some guides sometimes showing up and others not, I can figure neither the rhyme nor reason. If you need precision for the guide locations use the Guides Manager, View > Guides Manager...
