We apologise if you feel this way but it is not intentional. We get dozens of new post every day so we won't be able to reply to each one while working on Designer. We do read each post, and they will get put under consideration. We just can't reply to everything. :)

That's a very good idea. Will do that soon. :)

Our swatches do support gradient fills though, so for colour flyouts, it won't show them.

Sneak peak of the piece Im working on at the moment...It's got a tad complicated, but I have to report the software has not lagged, frozen or crashed once. So pleased with it, I had to finish a couple of projects in illustrator earlier and missed Affinity.

    Update to my trial artwork...

Couple of things I missed having, no warp tools and masking options (unless Ive missed these?).
The software could also do with a few extra keyboard short cuts adding here and there, such as cmd + e for export.

Overall through, I have very much enjoyed using the software and will be purchasing next week on release.

In an attempt to break me in, I decided to jump right in and make a large A3 piece.
Going well so far, although missing not having an eye drop tool to sample things, hopefully the idea is once I have completed this I should have sussed affinity to a comfortable level.

    Things I love so far:

    • Effects are presented in one easy place with sliders
    • The path tools, once I figured out how to add points etc I'm finding them beautiful to use.
    • I don't have so many pallets open to achieve the same work as I do in Illustrator

I have come across a couple of bugs, my tool bar got stuck to the foot of the window and then vanished, My artboard started flashing on and off at one point after drawing a box and I had to re-start

For multiple text selection - you need to be in one of the text tools to show the text context toolbar.

If you're looking for a light interface (like iPhoto), there's no way to get it as far as i know. I think they went with a dark interface because they are positioning Affinity Designer as a professional application. And like other pro apps on the Mac (Motion, Final Cut Pro, Adobe CC etc) they all feature a dark interface.

Andrew Tang reacted to Andy Somerfield in Is there any plans to support Photoshop Plug-ins in Affinity Designer?
    Hi,

This will be a feature in Affinity Photo - coming soon to a beta test near you :) Photo and Designer share a common file format - you can even switch from working in one to the other without losing document history.

    Cheers,
