  1. Hi all, Has this been requested already? Support for bitmap format would be very useful. Cheers, Paul.
  2. Hi Dayfold, Maybe this should be entered as a feature request. Currently spot or Pantone® colours aren't supported either, but are in the feature roadmap. Paul.
  3. Thanks for clarifying, Leigh. I did not realise the issue was exclusive to Affinity Photo. I notice that if you need a transparent background in a file you are originating in AP, then it's an option at the initial document set up: Paul.
  4. Hi pablos, If you need to open the file in other software, then you need to export the Affinity file to an appropriate file format (png, jpeg, tiff, psd, pdf). Hope this helps, Paul.
  5. Hi totoff, I exported the file from Affinity Photo. I also made sure that the Adobe RGB (1998) profile gets embedded during export. Hope this helps. Paul.
  6. Hi lucaben, The keyboard shortcut to the document set up is the same as in Adobe - Shift>Command>P, there is also a document set up tab above the document window at the left: Hope this helps. Paul.
  7. Hi lucaben, If you go to the document set up, you can change the background to transparent: Hope this helps. Paul.
  8. Hi Hemlock, Welcome to the forum. .afphoto or .afdesign are the native extensions for each app. If you have ever used Gimp, a similar thing happens with its native file format! For images to post on line, you need to export the file to the desired format, not save or save as: Alternatively, you could use the 'Share' function in the File menu: Hope this helps. Paul.
  9. Hi Jon, Beta testing is made available from time to time, just keep an eye out for the announcements. Affinity Publisher public beta could start towards the end of this year. Paul.
  10. Hi totoff, I've attached an Adobe RGB (1998) profiled TIFF. Could you please open it in AP and see if the profile assignment notification appears? The original was sRGB, which triggered the notification, I saved the TIFF with my default RGB profile and this did not trigger the notification. Paul.
  11. Hi jackamus, A similar thing happens in PS, if it is layered & not flattened. Perhaps that is what you are experiencing in AP? Maybe if you post your file to the forum, it might become apparent. Paul.
  12. Hi Dariusz, I believe the answer is in this link: https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/about/ The primary focus is on bringing together a coherent suite of apps for the Mac platform, before shifting focus elsewhere. Paul.
  13. Hi edzap, Is there a chance that you could post the Affinity file & the exported file here to take a look at? You can delete them later. Paul.
  14. Hi lenogre, I can't remember who originally posted this video for making a clock face, but I've attached it here because it may be a good way for you to run the diamonds as objects around a circle. The rotation angles will need to be adapted to suit what you want. Paul.
  15. Hi manuschwendener.ch, I noticed this info on the MOO site: "Please note, we don't offer any spot colour or any pantone matching, so its best to remove them from your PDFs and ensure only CMYK colour values" If you were to invest in a PANTONE® Color Bridge Coated book, it has split swatches of the the actual PANTONE® colour on the left & its CMYK values on the right. A very handy tool if you are designing for a Corporate or business that specifies PANTONE® colours in its logos etc. & you want the best CMYK match possible from your file: Paul.
  16. Hi apgal, What type of file are you exporting to & what settings do you use? Could you post your AD file plus the exported file to the forum, please? Paul.
  17. Hi -manuschwendener.ch, The Coated FOGRA 39 profile is one of the CMYK settings you can choose for your document set up. When your file is using this profile, then your exported file will also comply with this profile. Paul.
  18. Hi Claude, Have you tried rasterising the layer prior to exporting the selection? If not, try it & see if it helps. Paul.
  19. Hi lenogre, I'm not sure if it's a bug or not. The export to png or psd works if the grouped layer is rasterised. I've attached my .afdesign version file (with saved history) & exported psd & png files as well, I chose to enlarge the grouped layer before rasterising to maintain a high resolution. , , Paul.
  20. Hi macca1980, You'll have to use the links provided in your emailed receipt from Apple: Apple site: It will be a good idea to check your App Store's Terms of Sale regarding purchases, the link is at the foot of your emailed receipt. Paul.
  21. Hi JDW, Rather than a feature request, I think it should be a bug report. A new AP document has no layer by default, so it's illogical to flood fill no layer. Perhaps AP should have a pixel layer by default when creating a new document. Paul. ;)
  22. Hi Sun, I was only advising how to locate the Affinity Beta software data. As far as the safe deletion of these files is concerned, it may be wise to ask a dev. With regard to Adobe, your questions may be better directed to them or Apple. If you have Flash Player, Shockwave etc. the files may be necessary for update notifications.
