  1. oh thanks - maybe a double click should bring up the "edit fill" dialog? I just searched in the help menu and well....thanks Oval! And thanks DaveH as well :) Great to have you devs back in the forum !
  2. I´ve to take a look at the typography in minute! - but I didn´t find the global colors yet - I mean they're the same as the liked colors, right? How do I set/ apply one?
  3. I just tried a multi page pdf that was once created with word. I could PM it to you or MEB if you want to but I don't need this feature in the next weeks so if you think you'll make some improvements yourself anyway, then I'll be happy to try it again with publisher and report a bug if needed ;) And yes I selected "whole document" and it crashed just straight away ;) EDIT I just dropped it along with some info into MEBs dropbox - the export works for PDF X-1a (just tried this one) - it failed for standard PDF (for export)
  4. alt+ctrl drag for brush adjustments is somehow unusable with the rotation because the dragging directions also rotate with the canvas which is not supposed to work like that I guess?
  5. We can now open multi page PDF (YEAH!) :) , can we also export them? AD just crashed at the first attempt but I think it´s supposed to work at some point? Therefore it would be helpful to not only be able to create artboards from object but also from a sort of "new document" setting?
  6. Event professionals have to use the standard paint brush in some cases to recover/ create information that´s just not in the picture (but in the mind of the artist/ retoucher).
  7. ctrl + klick on the app icon, select open (hold ctrl down) then select all and klick on the "clear" button
  8. Is there a shortcut to go back to 0 degree rotation? If not - what about shift cmd 0? Rotation is totally sweet, although not totally smooth but that´s my overall experience with AP, I use lots of filters and adjustments and of course this eats up resources. And I think it really is faster than before but i hope with metal it´ll get like than 10x faster. Then I´d say it´s perfekt. Panorama stitching is amazing, just did a 104MP Panorama of Paris! Split toning is sweet as well! The toggle for 100% zoom is very useful! THX for the deform filter!! Ah, and AP crashed once and I lost the top panel with the personas but ctrl reset did the job.... sorry for not giving you a crash report, but it was in the panorama stitching part. I added a clarity filter on top of two USM and then I added a levels adjustment and then it crashed and didn´t restore the levels and the clarity adjustment. AD got a lot faster with gaussian blur filter! In AP the color picker is still slow like whatever asa it hits the canvas of a more complicated picture (I gave it MEB - the one with the Jeans) I´m still looking forward to dragging the "layer" description to set the opacity. and I´m still looking forward to USM Threshold alt klick preview for masking. overall - big thumps up! you really got me surprised this evening, didn´t expect all of that! EDIT I think your "new" approach to the Photo extension is great! (although I´ll probably never actually use it)
  9. I showed a friend of mine AP but he's also just a casual photographer and went back to picasa - what a pity. But he has just no use for such a great software but a DAM would be fine for him. Especially if it would include some basic editing functionality in itself. I´ll definitely show it him as soon as it´s available. If it offers easy organization, cropping, color correction and this haze filter which makes casual users scream (also me sometimes ;) and then he´ll be ready to go and I think it´s the same with many others.....
  10. I think the extension is fine for those who use Apple photos. Everyone who is more serious would not use Apple photos anyway - if you are skilled and using Apple photos nevertheless, please don't feel offended ;) but maybe you'll see the benefits of better software as soon as you try out the future affinity DAM ;)
  11. Yes Affinity as a part of serif to be even more precise Just "news" are announced for 2016 The publisher beta will be first an then we'll see Maybe 2nd or 3rd quarter I think publisher will come out pretty good with the special pdf options and printing stuff so I think it won't be a long beta.
  12. They'll make a real DAM in 2016 (unlike Apple photos) and this will work 100% along with AP so there we go ;)
  13. I'd say afds and afph because that is more where the pronunciation is IMO but apart from that I also like the shorter extensions. Although I don't find the current setting awkward. It really is up to personal preferences so we could just meet at the serif office and have some tee and discuss the whole thing :D haha
  14. I also find these options to get shades etc of one color not so usable. The colours are just added to the swatch. There is no way of getting a good impression on them and easily manage them. A more generous space would be much better IMO. Colours deserve more than a tiny square for each. But you're probably aware of this anyway so I'm looking forward to further improvements.
  15. You could also use a 6x4" rectangle and use it as a clipping mask. Then you don't have to flatten the document because the resizing is done through the clipping mask.
  16. It actually just works that way. It's logical as it merges the layers and produces a new layer .... So that's a perfectly fine behaviour.
  17. You have to go to "layer > flatten" before you resize/ expand the canvas because the crop is non destructive by default. Hope I got it right ;)
