APub: Page rotation by 180 degrees for printing

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm working on my calendar templates for 2020. My printing house want all even pages (back) rotated by 180 degrees but I want to design them how I will see them in real life.

Is there way to rotate all even pages upside-down before exporting the pdf for the printing service?

Any ideas or work arounds?

Right: How I like to work Left: What my printing house want.

Thanks in advance

Norbert

Workarounds:
a.) rotate all even pages AFTER export in the PDF with an according tool (eg. Acrobat / at least the print provider should have an imposition software)

b.) rotate all even page content manually page by page. (isn't much in a calendar with 12 months ;)

c.) don't export but print as PDF in two steps, even and odd pages separately. Choose "reverse page orientation" or "flip vertically" in the print options. Combine both PDFs and rearrange the page order.

Create one masterpage for even pages and one for odd pages
With a pictureframe on these masterpages you can flip it in one go

That would need to layout all even document page content within this Master Layer, and therefore to detach it on every page / for each edit, right?
(unless we have global layers)

Thanks for your solutions @thomaso and @haakoo.

I like the solution inside APub!
