PaulEC
When there is a new version of one of the apps available, a prompt appears every time you run the app. It would be really nice if Serif could add a tick box to say "Don't show this again". There may be reasons why you can't, or don't want to, update immediately and it does get a little irritating if you have to dismiss the box every time. When we get to version 2, and have to pay for an update, I don't think it fair that people who choose not to pay to update will have to get rid of a prompt every time they run the app! Staff Patrick Connor Posted October 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 8, 2019 Our Mac updates for Affinity Store builds have an option to "skip this update" (as well as "Download" and "Close") but the update mechanism built into the Windows build does not offer this, sorry. Hopefully we will be able to offer this on Windows too one day. When we are selling version 2 you will not get a nag to auto-update from 1.X if version 2.0 requires payment, that makes no sense. The welcome screen would tell you about it but not the auto-update mechanism for a paid upgrade. That certainly does make no sense, Patrick! I don’t imagine for a moment that you’ll allow customers to upgrade to version 2.0 without paying for it.
