cirkē Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Hi with ipados it is now possible to get an external device in the finder (usb stick or hard drive) , actually if I want to open a file directly from a hard drive it does not work, there is no way to search in the finder will you add this very necessary feature soon ? thanks Quote
Cecil Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Catalina should address this, as I understand the Mac reviews. Dan C Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Hi erickb We believe this is an OS related issue, as Apple have currently removed the option for us to access external drives from within the app. We're looking to get this resolved asap, in the meantime you can use the drag and drop feature from Files to open your document in Affinity - then after saving the file locally, you can drag and drop the document from the homescreen of the Affinity app onto your external drive in Files! cirkē Posted October 1, 2019 Author Posted October 1, 2019 even with the very last update yesterday it does not work thanks to the team Quote
Dan C Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Thanks for letting me know, I've been informed this is due to the Xcode version that our app is currently using - we're hoping to upgrade to the latest version shortly and this should allow for access of external drives within the app. Many thanks for your continued patience here! Jostx Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Hi, is there any progress in the update to recognize external disks (usb)? Quote
Dan C Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Hi Jostx, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately there's been no update for this currently, although we are still planning on implementing this feature. Quote
