Marcy T
Hello. My Affinity photo is unable to open the file it created. I was able to save the photo but when I go to open it I get a message stating failed to open and the type file is not supported. I cannot open anything I edited and saved recently. How can I get Affinity to stop doing this? I got a corrupt message also. Why is this happening? It was fine before I updated. Could this be what caused this? I have to edit photos for work and I can't use the program. One of my pictures lost a third of the image. Please help. thank you

Staff MEB Posted September 9, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 9, 2019 Hi Brian Oates, Welcome to Affinity Forums The most likely reason is the external drive entered in sleep mode due to the lack of activity. If possible try to work on files stored on the internal hard drive or disable/prevent external drives from entering in sleep mode in Windows. stokerg 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
