But that would not help with the missing Tools, or Toolbar, or Context Toolbar. The missing Menu bar is also puzzling, as Affinity doesn't provide a way to hide that on Windows. And with it missing, I also wonder how Marcus managed to get the menu pulldowns to show? This might be a case for holding the Ctrl key while starting the application, and doing a full reset. walt.farrell
You said that doing a full reset didn't work, but as you're fairly new to Affinity perhaps you don't know what that means. So, just in case: Press and hold the Ctrl key. Click on the application to start it. Wait for the popup menu to appear (or for the application icon to show up on the Windows task bar). If the icon shows up without the popup, click it. Release the Ctrl key. Press the Select All button, then the Clear button. walt.farrell
Sorry. I've no more ideas other than updating to 1.7.2 which was released today, if your Windows Store has it available. Maybe it will work better. After I uninstalled DUET, AFFINITY PHOTO opened normally. I will test on the other computer if with the last update of DUET DISPLAY the problem will disappear. Nicholas Jainschigg
I just did something similar in Windows 10, but I figured it out. It turns out that I had somehow torn off the current image into a floating window. It floated over the entire interface, and gave no access to any of the menus. I reduced the size of the image to get access to my browser and saw the menus peeking out the side, so I just dragged the image back onto the workspace and it's back to normal. That may not be the problem original submitter is having, but it was baffling enough for me for long enough that I found myself here.
