RM f/g Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 In a document I have two objects, one of which is locked in the layers panel and cannot be moved. As is to be expected. When I select both objects (in the layers panel), then apply an alignment, the locked object may move, depending on the applied alignment. The same happens in Publisher. Not exactly shocking, but not how I think it should be. vonBusing 1 Quote Macbook Pro mid 2015, 16 GB, double barrel: MacOS Mojave + Affinity 1 (+ Adobe’s CS6)/ MacOS Monterey + Affinity 2
vonBusing Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 I agree that locked items should not move in that situation. The behaviour you describe was already happening in Designer 1.6 Quote

RM f/g Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 I also noticed, by the way, that an object/layer selected in the layers panel can be deleted without problem or warning. I would prefer locked layers to be truly locked, so they cannot be deleted without first being unlocked. Falls within the same category as the original post, I presume.
