PixelPest Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 @abra100pro can you try this procedure on a normal canvas - not an Artboard? Quote

abra100pro Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 Artboard is not the issue - same with just a normal document. Also no difference based on the document setup (print/web) Quote
PixelPest Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 That´s for sure a bug: I found out: when you draw you chimney inside the house shape (bounding-box) Boolean-add which means it´s smaller than the height of the house than it will be just adding shapes - but not Boolean-add - and this works all the time. abra100pro Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 Will Serif get this from out of the forum? Quote
PixelPest Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I can write a bug report and lead to this thread. This is a serious bug in the Boolean operations tool set. Quote

mnky Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 @abra100pro - can you try reversing the curve of one of the objects using the Node Tool before you "Add" them? Does this fix the problem? Quote
Staff MEB Posted July 2, 2019 Staff Posted July 2, 2019 Hi mnky, Reversing the curve does fix the issue. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
mnky Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I've noticed with Affinity Designer that the compound actions like "Add" and "Subtract" can create unwanted lines between objects and I'll need to reverse the curves to stop this happening. Quote
Staff MEB Posted July 2, 2019 Staff Posted July 2, 2019 Hi mnky, Designer should calculate the correct result without the need to reverse the path. We need to review the boolean operations code to fix these and a few other known issues. Welcome to Affinity Forums Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
