Can I install previous iterations of Affinity Photo?

Recommended Posts

This build is very bugged, the view and brush tool just stop working sometimes and saving in PSD with a layer turned off deletes the pixel data pretty much every time so rebooting the program causes me to lose work and back track. Is there a way to roll it back to a previous build?

Mark, a software project lead, approved your moderated post and instantly replied to you at 9.40 on a Sunday night. By the time he was at work on Monday Alfred had been kind enough to provide the links you needed (at 20 to midnight, thanks @Alfred)

Which accusatory behaviour are you referring to?

If you bought from our store, you can re-download previous versions.

If you aren't a thief, you can do it.
I don't need to know if it's a possibility, i need to know how. And I think that's implied.
By the way, I still can't figure out how to navigate the website, and the program still ceases to function. It seems like tabbing out and back in is the problem.

Defend the staff all you want man, it doesn't change the fact that his behavior was rude, and now jumpy mods are further helping my experience with this software that I had initially very good feelings about.

Oh I see, no that is not the implication, though I see why you may think so. Serif sold Affinity software exclusively through the Mac app store for 2 years and then through the Affinity store and now also through the Microsoft Windows store. While out of the office we cannot access the Affinity Store database (for data security reasons it's restricted to our local network) so we cannot know on a Sunday night if you are one of our customers. Mark meant if you are an Affinity store customer you can roll back but if you happen to be a Microsoft store customer that is not possible.

That answer Mark gave is our standard response, given because the different stores don't share a database and other stores do not provide or need a product key. The response is only true for direct purchases as those downloads need a product key. No other interpretation was meant to be implied. We have never accused anyone here of not buying the software, but have given that reply over and over with no malice or accusation intended to you or anyone else.

Well Patrick, I appreciate the clarity. I would personally suggest that the "downloads & product keys" section of the affinity store has a drop-down menu option, that would be very helpful to me, although i can see how the webstore could be low down on the priorities list. Thank you for the help.

I agree, there are no direct links in the store to find old versions so no wonder that you were frustrated. The URLs are those we offer users when updating. So the store houses the patches/updates but there are no links to them when not patching.

I completely agree we should add them somewhere obvious when logged into the store, like the "Product key and Downloads" page. Thanks for the suggestion
