Yadu sam
Most of the things are taking lot of time and app is crashing. Even merging a layer is taking to long with this update. There are no issues with my Ipad pro. Please look into thi. ChrisWitDaFlickz
Staff Chris B Posted July 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 1, 2019 Hey Yadu sam, We've been working on a beta build for a couple of weeks which has seen a vast improvement in performance. Once it has been through some additional testing, it will be pushed to the App Store. Apologies for the inconvenience we have caused you. ChrisWitDaFlickz
Please hurry with the update. Merging layers useD to happen instantaneously and now it’s taking like 20 minutes to merge layers. I was very impressed with this program initially but now I’m feeling indifferent. Photoshop is seemingly the better program now.
Staff Chris B Posted July 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 8, 2019 Hey ChrisWitDaFlickz, welcome to the Affinity Forums. Whilst I absolutely appreciate you wanting us to hurry up with the update, we must also be very careful that no regressions make it into the update and also that we have actually fixed what was seemingly broken in 1.7. Would you like to try the beta so you can report back what is still affecting you? We use Testflight for our iPad beta (due to sandboxing) so you would need to agree to using that. Let me know and we can get you signed up. Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
swenpaylay
ditto on the poor performance. app is super laggy and crashes or needs to be reset to unfreeze photos every five minutes. Pretty much unusable. I’d say this last update was full of regressions....

Why not give it a go as Sean suggested. The more people who test it the better the rel version will be. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Unfortunately not many people were reporting bugs during the 1.7 beta phase even though enough people were actually using it. DM1 did a stellar job of reporting lots of issues of which the majority were addressed.
