Once you've made a selection, zoom into an area, the selection may be a little rough. Switching to the Smooth Selection Tool and increasing the radius will smooth the selection line, this sometimes works better in conjunction with the Grow/Shrink Selection Tool.

Hi Lee D, in Designer there is a bug. After you round the selection, when confirm, the selection goes back rough.

@Lee D the bug in the Designer beta has carried through to the release version. As Angelos58 points out, you can adjust the selection to get a nice smooth outline, but when tapping accept, the selection reverts back to the original rough (pixelated) shape.
