Jeremy Bohn
A simple but helpful thing that is missing in text handling: you should be able to double-click on a space or tab etc. and it will be selected. Publisher seems to be missing this, and possibly the other Affinity apps as well. It's something that's like a reflex action for me when editing text and it's bugging me that I can't do it with Publisher. This is a standard feature which is in every app I've tried on my Mac. Also there are some other text related things I feel like Publisher should have out of the box. I know you can add keyboard shortcuts for this, but since Publisher is being aimed at professionals, it should come by default with shortcuts for En Space and Em Space. By default, they have no shortcut in Publisher. These spaces are commonly used in typesetting. In InDesign the shortcuts are command-shift-M and N. Lastly, I don't see a way to add a keyboard shortcut to toggle typographic quotes. This is another feature that InDesign and QuarkXpress have. Since I'm a type freak, I want my inch marks not to be quote marks. Having that keyboard shortcut is a great way while typing to quickly turn the autocorrect off then back on again. Old Bruce
I rarely use that double click on whitespace feature but the lack of it does bug me too. Nice to know that I am not the only one getting this, I figured I was doing something wrong. 7 minutes ago, Jeremy Bohn said: Since I'm a type freak, I want my inch marks not to be quote marks. I have done a lot of carpentry over the decades so I don't want that either. Many is the time I have switched to Type Freak mode and gone looking for the beginning of the quote on a plan. Can't explain it to most co-workers on the job either. Or maybe I am as crazy as their looks suggest. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

For what it's worth, that seems to be a Mac-specific function. Nothing I've tried on Windows does that. Jeremy Bohn
I figured as much. Doesn't stop Adobe from implementing it though.
