NigelDuke Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 When I apply blur effect to image and try to use paint brush (black) to selectively eliminate effect nothing happens. Opacity 100%. If I invert blur effect and use white color nothing happens either. This worked on previous build. Any ideas ?
Gnobelix Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Hello @NigelDuke, set the Opacity and Flow to 100% and set the Blend Mode to normal, then it should work. cheers Affinity Photo 2.5: Affinity Photo 1.10.6: Affinity Designer 2.5: Affinity Designer 1.10.6: Affinity Publisher 2.5: Affinity Publisher 1.10.6: Windows 11 Pro (Version 24H2 Build (26100.3037)
Staff MEB Posted May 30, 2019 Staff Posted May 30, 2019 Hi NigelDuke, Welcome to Affinity Forums Make sure Protect Alpha is not ticked in the context toolbar (for the Paint Brush Tool). If you don't see this option at the right end of the context toolbar click the ">>" symbol to display a pop-up with the additional/missing options. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
NigelDuke Posted May 30, 2019 Author Posted May 30, 2019 Problem solved, my background did not have (pixel) next to it. When it does it works. Thanks everyone.

If you have an ‘(Image)’ layer, you need to rasterize it in order to work on it at the pixel level.
