Are downgrades to previous versions possible?

Recommended Posts

I posted yesterday about a glitch in version 1.6.5.123, or a glitch at least in my download of that version. I can’t Invert Layers to sharpen photos using the High Pass Live Filter layer. And as a red-blooded American, dang if I don’t have a hankerin’ to fix me some good old- fashioned photo-editing by the campfire. xD

Easter photos, cherry blossom portraits, same-old same-old for us vaqueros riding the high country. So I’ve moseyed on back to the Forums because hain’t nobody hepped. I really need to fix the Invert Layer problem. If I downgrade to an older version, maybe I can get the daffodils and tulips lookin’ just a sight better, ma’am.

Thankee kindly for any answers today, as the dogies are itchin’ to get back to the ranch. Game of thrones day, and all that. Right ornery millennial dogies.

There is ongoing discussion in your earlier topic, and you should probably continue there.

But to answer your question, I'm not aware of a way you can downgrade, and there's certainly no way to be sure that an older version would work any differently. You could try installing the 1.7 beta of Photo alongside 1.6.5.123, and see if it works better. Please note the caveats about not using it for production work, etc. Also please note that if you save a .afphoto file from 1.7 you won't be able to open it in 1.6.

Not pretending to be in the UK, just wishing to be there!   What extraordinarily lovely pictures.    Thank you so much.
