firstdefence
In the Export Panel, I think the "More" button should be replaced with a show/hide toggle button , or text. Clicking on the more button hides previous info so you cannot see document size, the preset, the resample settings whether bleeds are included and the area selected It prevents selecting other export formats and really is a window for the sake of it. The toggle hide/show button or text would make export simpler and clearer having all the info in front of you. I honestly cannot see a logical reason for the setup as it is. fde101 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Fixx
True, though the dialog should fit to a small screen. Thus PDF export settings should still have some items that hide and open at will that they need not to be open at the same time.

fde101
I definitely would NOT lay it out that way. The current organization of the controls works *because* it is a separate window. If moving these into the same window the controls need to be reorganized - there is WAY too big of an empty space in that window. That said, there is plenty of room for easy improvements: The "file format" controls are sort of doubled-up on now and you should not need both. Keeping the popup list instead of the icons would use minimal space, while the icons are handy for faster selection. Some of the popups could be placed next to the controls above them - for example instead of "Downsample images" and "Above DPI:" being on two lines, you could combine those into "Downsample images above DPI:" with a checkbox and the combo box on the same line. Similarly "Allow JPEG compression with quality:"... The stand-alone checkboxes at the bottom could be reorganized and go wider instead of taller. The resolution-related settings could be grouped into a box and the color-related settings into another box, then those could be placed side-by-side. Compatibility could be placed next to File Format and left at the top if the popup list is used; if the icon set is retained, then the compatibility and rasterise popups could be placed next to each other underneath it. All that said, imposition options should be added as well.
