MickRose
This hasn't happened before. Went back to an opened document and the hand tool was displayed. I couldn't get rid of it without closing APub down & re-opening. I don't know if I had pressed something. Pressing any other tool or the escape key didn't help Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
Staff Gabe Posted April 9, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 9, 2019 Hi @MickRose, Sorry for the delayed reply. I could not reproduce this in the latest build. Can you please check it again and confirm if it's still an issue? Thanks, Gabe.

spinko
happens all the time in my setup (Mac Catalina with latest versions of Affinity apps). Pretty frustrating.
Staff MEB Posted October 18, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 18, 2019 Hi spinko, Can you detail step by step how to reproduce it? Are you using alt+spacebar whilst clicking on canvas to zoom out? A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
spinko
Hi, yes I use that shortcut quite often to zoom in or out. edit... just that again with the space bar and in unlocked the tools... what am I doing wrong ? edit 2.... pressing the spacebar unlocks the tools. thanks :-)
Staff MEB Posted October 21, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 21, 2019 Hi spinko, You are not doing anything wrong. This is a known issue that's already logged to be looked at. Pressing alt+spacebar whilst clicking on canvas to zoom out does end up stuck in the hand tool/wrong cursor in certain circumstances. Pressing spacebar a single time (when stuck) does unlock/display the correct cursor as you discovered (drag the mouse a little if the cursor didn't change). Until this is fixed that's the only quick work around we are aware of. Thanks for checking/confirming the issue.
